at least we want to see the videos tomorrow please release the videos..:crying:crying:crying:crying:crying:crying:crying:crying:crying:crying:crying:crying:crying

Whats the point in releasing videos or screen shots at this stage when its just going to delay us seeing the final product. If you can't wait till the weekend or maybe a bit longer then it seems this game isn't for you.

Really good question....probably not so well as the shot never gets very far due to running into the net. But it's an interesting point. Really not sure how I can get round this. One option is to remove collision from the nets object so the shots go the full distance. I could then have an option to show a vertical 'spider' showing where the shots went.

This would mean things would be delayed further though....if enough people demand it then I'll consider it.

I thought these guys had the right idea.

Maybe a full ground without fielders and audience.......

This might give more details about the variations of strokes..

All sounds great but don't waste too much time creating a 'net area' have you considered just using a stadium but not implementing fielding etc it would give a better idea of how the game will work and should reduce the time. KUTGW!
So just a bowler+batsman in a field to see how shot placements, power, mishits, swing, pace, spin work. And maybe something like a slider that adjusts the weather/time of day to show how those factor affect gameplay - if you have those things implemented already.

Hmmm...I did consider it but then we are 100% going to get everyone saying

- "Why does the crowd suck?"
- "Where are the fielders?"
- "Why isn't (insert feature here) in the demo?"

Still, I'm not going to rule it out...would certainly solve the issue of showing people the shot variety and would allow freecam and camera tracking. Could be cool. I just felt a bit uneasy about the 'unfinished' look that would give, with no fielders or keeper or anything.

The other option is huge nets like Matt suggested last page...but would huge nets in the middle of a stadium look weird? I'd probably prefer not to have the nets at all in this case.

I dunno, what does everyone think?

99% of your fans dont care about "looks". We just want to see the physics and shot placement.

Please dont think that you are the leader of patience, if u think u will become a patient :p:p:p

Nets explain the lack of fielders :).

But really, the game is unfinished, and very obviously so, trying to hide that by chucking someone into a secluded net session won't work. You've spent a lot of time on the stadiums and shots, it would be a shame not to show the stuff you have completed off for fear of people complaining. Put a big disclaimer up at the start about the unfinishedness.

Related question, do you plan on from the alpha on releasing patches for it to add your progress, or major step releases? I mean for example if you release the net session and then you finish fielding, will you release that as an addon, or just wait until you've got something beta worthy?

I'd give another tip and try and get you to ignore people who can't get the game to work for now, it will only delay you trying to work on compatibility now.

Every one knows staff and admin defended codis in ever possible way when they sold us SH?..t. and that?s y I lost my interest on this forum like many did. Its good that you learn from your mistakes. After all this forum is for FANS not some greedy sh..t selling publishers !!!
