TAOC Discussion

There are women's grandslam's in tennis, and they are high profile. I bet you could name 7 women's tennis players, but which players played for England women against India recently, I can name a couple but no more than 5 certainly.

I support the women's game growing definetely, however I dont feel it needs to be in the game as most the gamers wouldn't know who the women players are.
Charlotte Edwards, Jenny Gunn and Holly Colvin are the names I remember.

Yeah exactly, Clare Conner as well led them to victory in the women's ashes, but I can't name too many more.

Hi all,

just advising that it's getting really close to announcement time for the new website and the official name of the game. I have organised the new site administration and will now allow Matt to cut things over...

So if all goes well within a couple of weeks (hopefully) it should go live.

Also just a quick update to let you know i haven't disappeared...bowling is now done and im onto the umpires. Some prelim screens should be forthcoming in the next few days...I also had some performance problems with the crowd so have simplified them to be rudimentary flattened 2d which looks pretty crap but i intend to improve much later. I really feel the most important thing for me now is to get the main game done. The crowd can always be improved later, not so important in the grand scheme of things...

cheers all,

LM

thanks guys,

well it seems the site is progressing better than expected so seems likely in fact that the release will be before the end of next week if all goes according to plan. Still, no promises ;)

Good news everyone, The development of the new site is going extremely well, and looks set for a launch some time this week (unless there is an unexpected delay). So the big announcement is going to be here very soon, and there are going to be a lot of smashed windows :D.

great news from all after what i read. Top work guys, keep it up, im really looking forward to this game! its totally underestimated by half of pc, you should really have your own forum for it on the main board..... since its pretty much the same level as games such as cricket life in terms of development

The website is looking great Matt. Not too different from TheCricketProject.com, but some snazzy new graphics!
