I actually would go as far as saying that we could do with Zaheer instead of Tendulkar or Yuvraj in this side! Our bowling is that bad. I mean are missing Zaheer more than we would miss Tendulkar or Yuvraj, if they were not available.

We usually are without Tendulkar. Tendulkar is a bonus. Yuvraj is a bit hit and miss, although when he hits it's mostly match winning. He needs to bowl less though, especially against quality sides.

Maybe I would agree with what '0601731' says. We might have to fall back on our spin and hope that it carries us forward. The pitches look to be excellent batting wickets and spinners have the capability to restrict the run flow and also pick wickets. Mishra bowled and batted pretty well in the warmup game against NZ today. Harbhajan picked up a 5-for recently and we all know that he is quite capable with the bat. Lets have RP and Ishant as the fast bowlers. We can have Abhishek Nayar in place of Yusuf so that we have one more medium pacer instead of a spinner to balance the side. This would make it 5 specialist bowlers with two pacers, one all rounder and two spinners.

Without Tendulkar is just an excuse. In first place, our bowling was just as pathetic as it used to be. RP Singh will be the worst bowler of CT2009. Bangladesh would have bowled better if they had been included in place of India. We gave place for them to get 300+ runs. Even if Tendulkar had played, I don't think we would have chased. And importantly, we can expect Tendulkar's retirement anytime. I am hoping for WC2011 finals, but who knows, anything can happen before that. So at this last stage, still saying, " Tendulkar did not score runs for us " is just a lame and shame excuse.

haha, now you realized? I have posted the same for 100 times I think. As long as guys like RP, Munaf, Balaji, Pathan etc are going to continue, even associate nations would love to tour us for boosting their confidence.
