I played against England on a green wicket(only 15 ovrs till now) and the results are a bit odd.Check the screenshot.I scored 84/0 in 15 ovrs on a GREEN wicket in OVERCAST CONDITIONS.And to my surprise there were 3 sixes and many fours.
As I mentioned to Jonah in one of the game there will always be some players who will find their touch right away and it will be more often than not for Star Players or the ones with good average. They dont really need settling down but the same form might not really carry on to the next game and this is deliberately done. By coincidence they are openers in this match, you really should go on using them very well till the end and as Jonah put it a collapse might just be around the corner.

OK now seems like I've got a curse to have fate of real life SA (my 'tied' match as england is still fresh)..Chasing 233 to win I lost by 19 runs, and this after recovering from 21/3 and then 107/7. But just when a famous victory was in site, SA had a dreadful collapse to lose by 19 runs. Pollock (70) and Adams (30) shared a partnership of 102 runs but could not win the match for SA. What's more, SA had their share of bad decisions in Rudolph & Hall's lbws.
B.Lee was pick of the bowlers who rattled the innings in each of his first 2 spells, smith and boucher edged to first slip in successive deliveries.

AUS SA
88/3 - 15 - 87/4
141/4 - 25 - 140/7
214/8 - 35 - 176/7
232/10- 40 - 188/7
- 45 - 211/9

All in all a good tense match.. but looks like I need a break now :nzw: :wall: :(

Excellent game there Shailesh, you were so close :( to winning. Still a very good game B) you had, I guess we all have had our share of close games by now and I have to say you must have had a lot of patience to come back from 107/7.

Sorry Ravi my conn was not working so i dint post anything
i just played a game with ur newest files
i`ve noticed that if bowl shorter 5-7 yrds from the umpire
the bowl bounces over the batsman
bowling less shorter results in 4 -6 by cpu which is realisticc
can u make the cpu leave or duck all those deliveries which the cpu cannot play

ravi plzzzz now send me the latest odi files at  [email protected]
Sure will, not right now but will send it out to you guys shortly.

Can only those who can afford some time to post the feedback only request for the patch at this stage, this is to ensure the patch will hopefully be bug free when finally released with some more feedback coming through from the ones who request the patch at this stage.

No worries mate, take your time. I cant think of any change to get the CPU duck certain short balls. The game is designed in such a way that the CPU will only leave those which are wide in ODI. We can get the CPU to leave or duck but the scores will be drastically affected with CPU playing out a ODI like a Test Match.

I noticed in the current patch that the ability of a team like Zimbabwe paltry as compared to other Test playing nations. Given the last night's win against England I think we should certainly shorten the difference in ability of Zimbabwe as compared to the better teams in our patch. I will sort this out if you all agree with me on this one. Otherwise I cant think of any flaw with the patch at this stage, it is playing true and is very realistic on pretty much all types of pitches also taking into consideration who the opponents are.

Yes Ravi , till now I have no problems with this patch and looking forward to it's release next month.

Also the test match is much needed from the forum members I think :D

If you have made some files for test match then you can send me Ravi

Will send the updated files to all our regular testers as well as Hero. We shall then not change or update the files for sometime say for about a fortnight and see how it goes with our other members. Once the opinions start flowing in we can either tweak it a bit more or just release it.

Amber, I am not fully finished with the Test cricket Tweak yet. I look forward to this weekend to send it across to you guys. I take it that all the others Jonah,Shailesh and Mani would like to be sent the Test Cricket files as well. Let me know.

and i just throwed my wickets away in the game :o
now i hope a partnership develops :D

Ravi, I'd love to receive your Test tweaks, as you've done such a great job with the OD ones. However, I'm going to struggle to get a lot of gameplay/testing done with them over the next couple of weeks (plus I want to settle in and play a few ODI's with your finished patch :) !).
All you've suggested earlier in the thread re Test gameplay sounds great...if you can do all that, well, it'll be nigh-on perfect. If you can get Tests to go into the 5th day more often than not, that would be a major improvement :) .
Keep up the excellent work, mate  .
