Actually touching the antenna may help, as antennae can use you as a sort of extension, increasing the range. If you want an example you can try yourself, get a FM Radio with a largish antenna, tune to an FM station that you get bad but listenable reception from, if you back away from the radio you may find the reception gets worse, as you aren't there to help boost the antenna's range, but if you touch the antenna it will do one of the two things: ruin the reception completely (the reception of the fuzz next to the station will get better and overpower the weak signal of the station) or improve it (the weak signal is strengthened).

However in relation to an Internet connection I doubt it, and if it were the case that touching it improved speed then moving closer to the wireless router or hot-spot would have the same effect, the way KBC is saying it is almost like the extra speed comes out of nowhere, and I'd doubt the increase would be that big even if it did improve it.

I guess that thing would only happen when he touches both the modems altogether communicating with each other. But then again there's no modem that supports such high speed connection.

That's as far as you know..,There are thousands of fast modems.

I Downloaded POP posted in PC in 2 Hrs and i could upload the same thing in less than 1 hr with the Antenna touched up.

And another thing that just came to my mind - fast modems dont give fast speeds when the isp doesnt allow it. There's no modem in the world which can cross the isp's limits on its own wish!
