Planes are actually much safer, quicker, more accessable than any other long travel choices.

Obviously Cars are the way to go, but queues and other things can halt them.

Trains - delays, a lot of people use it for business, would come second to Planes,

Ferries, no, just no!

So Planes are much easier! I dont understand why people are afraid of whats effectively a metal smarties tube, with wings, how's that scary?

I know they are safe. I'm still terrified of flying one.

I know spiders can't harm me. Still terrified of them.

Fears are something you don't choose i'm afraid.

I bet you're not as scared as me of Spiders ;)

And fear is a mental issue, therefore you can either block it out, or over come it.

How any of you can fly on a plane is beyond me. Wouldn't get me on one of those bloody things!

How else do you suggest getting to Dubai, America etc. It's a long swim :)

Coaches, ferries. I'd rather swim to a place myself rather than fly to it.

Then you betetr be in South East Asia.
Ferries are very popular in HongKong and Malaysia.
Infact,i quite enjoy using the Ferries in Hk whenever i go there.

Sure its cheap.. But then when your flying from Canada to the other side of the world you don't think cheap, you think comfort :p

Easyjet don't fly to Canada from UK. They only do short flights. For a trip to Canada/USA, I'd use British Airways or Virgin.

I prefer Virgin. Very good treatment great airline. BA are still good, but for me i would choose Virgin over them.

Ryanair have announced lately that they're trying to arrange flights to America, i think, and this is just a guess. They'll be going to New York, but niether of the main airports.

They are. They are planning an American flight for £200. Sounds cheap compared to other airlines, problem is they "forgot" to mention the tax you have to pay.

Yes but it is likely to be much much more when all the tax is added on.

Airline fares are too costly to travel in India they take thousands of rupees.
