You have to play Nathan Lyon well in order to score runs on these drop in Australian pitches.

Once the Kookaburra ball gets older it doesn't swing later on maybe a bit of reverse before the 2nd new ball but thats it.

Its Nathan Lyon who creates the pressure in the middle overs by bowling at a length Better suited on these conditions.

What India did well was to tackle Lyon in the middle overs and this where especially Pujara who used his feet against Lyon on every single delivery to distrub the length he bowled and made sure Lyon does not bowl at the same spot.

England with Malan and Root did well but once the Floodgates were opened the Aussies were all over them.

Why are Australia playing like this? Is there some monetary gain from prolonging the match instead of just ending it fast, which I think Australia can do as English batting is dire...
