Khawaja needs to go, tired of seeing him play with no foot work and pushing his bat at anything.
He was average in the a World Cup too so we aren't picking him off recent LOI form. When he is batting well, he plays beautifully but he struggles more often than not. Warner probably a different story, reckon selectors are picking him because of reputation but he isn't playing his usual aggressive cricket. (I've never liked the idea of picking a test team based off of LOI form and vice versa)[DOUBLEPOST=1566142093][/DOUBLEPOST]If Bangers can see off the new ball I reckon he can dig in for a 40 off 100 odd. He really struggles with that moving ball just outside off. Regardless, we must play for a draw now. Marnus gets a good score and he is in my XI next game for Khawaja. Debatable if Harris comes in for WarnerPerhaps he is the best Aussie batsman in the limited overs format right now.

Completely different conditions, you want batsman who can play a moving ball in England. No footwork is not how you play a moving ball. Especially playing the likes of Anderson, Woakes and Broad. Yes Khawaja was shuffled but he is in his natural position now in test cricket and still isn't performing.[DOUBLEPOST=1566143141][/DOUBLEPOST]Because he was forced to bat down the order you can say ? I think he was also good enough in Test Cricket a year ago when he scored 170 odd against Pakistan at Dubai. And it was regarded as one of the best innings by a non-subcontinent batsman in Asia in more than a couple of decade's period.
I'd have him as a solid no.3 in Australia for test cricket and a backup opener in ODI but against a swinging and seaming ball he looks out of sorts.Completely different conditions, you want batsman who can play a moving ball in England. Warner, Bancroft and Tim Paine have been much much worse.Khawaja needs to go, tired of seeing him play with no foot work and pushing his bat at anything.

I don't think they'll change the side because the momentum is with England. And you can't drop Denly after that catch! So do they stick it out with Roy and Denly or bring someone else in? Archer and Leach have come in and given some added bite and control to the bowling. Be brave and hope for the same on the batting front?
In 19 innings in EnglandI don't know the stats but I have always felt Warner struggles with red ball cricket outside Australia. Don't ever remember him making an impact in India vs India or England vs England. I might be wrong but I don't remember myself ever going "How are we going to get Warner out?"
In 19 innings in England
Averages 30
0 centuries
6 fifties
7 single digit scores in the first innings (9 in total)
Khawaja averages 20.50 from 10 innings. One fifty.
Warner in India (24.25, 3 - 50's, 0 - 100's)
Phew, Archer is going to single handedly win England back the Ashes .....
They said on Sky debate last night,England will probably move Roy down the order and promote Denly to opener.
