Smith can only be judged once he reaches the age of 35-38 he's still very young...

The Steve Smith hype is getting a bit over the top. Is he one of the best today? Yes, without doubt. GOAT? Long long way to go.

Also, these comparisons with Kohli are beyond me. Kohli has had one bad away tour i.e England and a problem against seam, but so does Smith. He has a huge appetite for big runs, but to classify him as an all conditions batsman is rich.

Joe Root can play the moving ball, but he has a temperament issue in terms of patience. I also don't rate his game against spin as highly as Smith's or Kohli's.

I still feel Kane Williamson is the most accomplished test batsman in the world, followed by Smith and Kohli and closely followed by Root.

Stats are for me quite useless as I've said time and again.

I think Williamson is certainly up there, but would definitely not have him ahead of Smith. I mean the blokes averaging like 10 more then the next best. While the rest are all around 50,51,52,53.[DOUBLEPOST=1514335921][/DOUBLEPOST]
What is your view on Cameron Bancroft?

Not sold on his technique as an opener.

Disagree. Think someone with 22 tons and nearly 6,000 runs can be judged by now.
Nope his skill sets are class footwork and timing.

Kindly respond to the pm I have sent you!!!

Feel Cook shouldn't have played this game. Looks finished and dead rubbers might have been a good chance to bring through youngsters. Same with Broad too. Jack Leach (should've been in the squad 200%) could've played instead of Ali but the ECB seems to hate him for some reason.

Broad definitely shouldn't of been picked. Think this will be Cooks last series unless he really does something special.

But Justin Langer rated Bancroft very high as a technically correct Test guy.He scored a double ton in Sheffield Sheild against NSW.I think he is giving way too much respect to English bowlers. He is using perfume of negativity.

I feel that was the century needed by Cook to save his place. I'm hoping this can be the test match we all need to warrant further interest in the series.[DOUBLEPOST=1514365473][/DOUBLEPOST]
This is why you don’t say an opener with 11000+ test runs is finished because of two bad tests
Never finished just a dip in form, it happens.

(You going to answer my AMA questions I posted... Please... ?)

You seem to talk about Cameron Bancroft a lot and in a positive light so, you're not Mat Renshaw.... Are you the CEO of the Warriors... ? Or are you both from... There.... That place that begins with F and ends in mantle. Hope he get's. Good long run in the national side as he is a decent player.

I’m pretty sure I answered all of them in the post directly above yours

And then the collapse... ? This has to be Cooks defining moment and a pivotal innings for him he has to stay at the crease and get backed up. Really want to watch a decent test match while we're off work (BBL is fun but no substitute).
