If starc isn't fit for the final test agar will come in for bird. I think this is Bancrofts last chance to perform or we will see the return of Renshaw. Khawaja, I was never fond of because of his laziness and lack of ability to score runs anywhere else besides Australia (even looking shaky at home now). If Starc is fit and plays I can only see cummins coming out of the 11 to make way for starc and hazlewood with the pace and Lyon and agar with the spinProbable XI for the 5th Test
1.Warner

I have no experience of holding a bat as my average is very low... Give me something hard to hold and I can give you something more... We are talking bowling just in case we are miss interpreting something...

Batting seems too weak in the team. Shaun Marsh is a half-decent option (at times) to have at number 5 or 6 but not 4. Maxwell might not be ready for the number 5 spot. Should've brought back Handscomb who performed well against South Africa/Pakistan/India and then faltered in a couple games. He could be Australia's long-term number 4/5. Worth sticking with Khawaja for the time being too.

Agar can be a handy no.7/8 we just need a steady no.5. I like Handscomb but his form atm isn't what we need. He can return with the tour to South Africa and Khawaja can be sacked

We're (you're)) playing the poms, you mean the batting is weak because they have all got banjos to bat with... ? Keep it as it is show faith in Bancroft anyone needs to come in bring Renshaw back.

Our new Princess will be full of surprises and a good asset I for one will try the fish oil just be assured you boys can take me when it is needed... ?

Yep, a bowler I am to batting what clotted cream is to slimming.

Why play Smith at 3 when he’s done so well as 4?

Why play Smith at 3 when he’s done so well as 4?

Selectors are looking for two spots,
no 3 and no 4.Usman is a not regular player in side and have problem with spin bowling.Too much T20 cricket causing problem for Test cricket, especially in Australia.I think selectors must bring Head in place of Usman.

And, the ICC has rated the MCG pitch poor. Ranjan Madugalle, the match referee of the Boxing Day test, submitted his report to the ICC claiming ""The bounce of the MCG pitch was medium, but slow in pace and got slower as the match progressed. The nature of the pitch did not change over the five days and there was no natural deterioration. As such, the pitch did not allow an even contest between the bat and ball as it neither favoured the batsmen too much nor it gave the bowlers sufficient opportunity to take wickets."

Is that why Alaister Cook rode on an unbeaten double century?

If pitch was the only reason why Cook managed to score a double, then why couldn't the rest score one too? Does skill play no part in that at all?

Of course not. It does amount to skills as well. No wonder he is one of the best batsmen. I just meant is the pitch one of the factors for the double.

Seems like Mason Crane will get a gig for the poms. Always like seeing another leggie out there. Make the game better.[DOUBLEPOST=1514889791][/DOUBLEPOST]Just read it's the first time an Australian International pitch was rated as 'poor'. I knew it looked pretty poor but jeez it must of been bad.
