The Big Bang Theory

Sorry, having re-read a quote of myself I meant Raj's apartment not Wallowitz's :doh

I love Sheldon's rephrase of "bros before hoes"

Last night's episode was one of the best (counting all seasons). Had me laughing throughout. Was slightly confused that Two and a Half Men didn't air on the same day though. These two shows usually always air on the same day as they have the same creator.

Ahh with Charlie Sheen asking for more money and whatnot? I doubt that's it. I'm pretty sure they would have already shot the episode a few weeks in advance.

No, his drinking problems and all crap, IDK! and Ya they did shot few ep in advance and they aired those already, and they showed some old 1s after that. And now they just dont have any new 1s soo ...

i dont really care, i dont even like that show any more 4 season too many..

I hope E4 continue the series next week, pretty sure the one on Thursday repeated Saturday was the last one of the latest series they showed - the one where's Leonard's mum visits, gets wasted and kisses Sheldon!

Looks like the next episode in the series will be shown on Thursday :banana2

Well last night's episode was slightly disappointing. Wasn't really all that funny. It was all rather predictable and a real downer considering how good the last episode was.

Which episode was it? I've seen every episode up to 19 in season 3 I think it is. The later ones in season 3 havent been airing in Australia. We're up to around episode 16/17 I believe

Watched the episode last night, it was ok but missed a few fairly obvious gags/opportunities and wasn't that funny.

Howard and Leonard go on a double date in which Leonard ridicules Penny for believing in psychics. This has potential but it really wasn't exploited, maybe it will be in future episodes, but they tried to cram two plots with so much potential into 20 mins or so.

So with Howard and Leonard on a double date that left Raj with Sheldon, Raj bribes Sheldon into going to a "party" at the university and Sheldon unwittingly does very well with a girl despite twice revealing that Raj is wanting to copulate with one of them - funny as fu ck that! Anyway Raj bribes Sheldon to go on a "second date" in his copulation quest, Sheldon is unwittingly doing very well with his "date" and the very last bit was funny but could have done with a bit more time to be hilarious. He basically wants to go to bed, suggests they go to bed and he is thinking alone, she is thinking them both, and is surprised when he says goodnight and walks off. Surprisingly she follows him, asks if she can spend some time in his room to which he surprisingly says yes in a Sheldon way (can't remember words exactly), but then says he'll sleep in Leonard's room as she is parking on his bed!

Not sure how they'll follow that plot through. While it would be quite funny Sheldon being the object of someone's lust, how long can that be funny/realistic without ending in a) her giving up or b) Sheldon getting some? The latter would ruin the character, the former is so much more likely. It's not like Due South where Benton is good looking, charming and polite, and what women are looking for. And while he might share some personality traits with Benton, he's not at all interested in the female of the species, collecting and taking with him his new "limited edition Green Lantern lantern" and later wearing his Incredible Hulk fists signed by Stan Lee.

Not sure Howard being in a relationship makes most of his comic potential. It's like when Chandler and Monica got together, for me damaged Chandler as a character in terms of what made him funny. And now Leonard is with Penny is the humour aspect of them being geeks with no real prospect of girlfriends somewhat if temporarily redundant?

Can't say as I was too impressed with the episode last week. Poor start in the restaurant discussing the new menu and typos. Then they find the apartment is burgled and list all their consoles and games, perhaps the funniest thing in the first half was Sheldon's questioning when CSI would arrive and citing how his hard drive could track down the burglars.

Second half didn't get any funnier, a bit too predictable at times and perhaps the funniest interaction was when Sheldon was picking somewhere to move to and asked Penny where she was from before putting a giant cross through it! You do have to wonder how a bunch of techno-geeks didn't have security already.

I thought the very final bit hilarious when he walked through the door and Howard greeted him first. The response and Howards face was classic!
