haha Gerrards hearing will be class. he will get off because justice is based on how much money you have but still he might get sent off if someone has a word with him on the pitch. Where's big Dunc when you need him. :D

Chelsea (obviously couldn't have been avoided)

Now spurs, I know we've had Southampton today, but I think it's something like 13 out of 14 ties that we've had premiership opposition.

In the meantime, Chelsea have had Huddersfield, Southend and Macclesfield. Liverpool have had Havent and Waterlooville, Luton (twice) and Barnsley, and Arsenal have had Plymouth, Burnley and Cardiff (twice now). Something's not right.

whereas your version of justice seems to be "he's a dipper, he's guilty" :p

I'll leave my judgement until the court case.

There is a minescule chance that in some hugely weird circumstance that maybe he might be slightly innocent but even if this freaky possiblity is true he still deserves to get sent down for life because he is a big girly hypocrite. Anyway I heard he started it and I am very reliable, in fact when the court hear that I reckon he's guilty they will most likely send him down with no further questions.

Anyway I missed the game last night but a bloke I know Callum was playing in it. Shame they lost but Robbie Keane seems to have lost all form and they played a really strong team for some reason.

Steven Gerrard rides trial by media - Times Online

Is that the times added to the boycott list?

But he raises a number of very good points. The main one being, why is he being celebrated as a hero for coming back and playing yesterday, it's almost like he's the victim, to quote one article from the same website:

"WHO COULD doubt Steven Gerrard’s capacity to adapt to circumstances? Four days ago, he was charged with assault and affray, after an incident that left him “soul-searching” and “furious with himself”, it was said. Yesterday evening, like the human dynamo he is, Gerrard charged the Premier League leaders, empowering them to overcome as determined and resolute a Championship side as you are likely to find."

Oh, what strength it takes to assault someone (if he is guilty) and then come back to play well a few days later. How about some thought for the victim.

Phil, Champions of the World aren't allowed to face Macclesfield.

Plus, you may as well face it. The media love Terry, Rooney and Gerrard and hate Wenger. I doubt it'll ever change.

But there is always a flip side Phil, he may well be guilty of assault but you can be guilty of assault and not start the fight. As a rule I don't go around starting fights and actively try to avoid them but I will not hesitate to defend myself if required. These days we know full well that defending yourself can lead to an assault charge.

Nothing to do with me being a Liverpool follower, I don't know the facts or even the rumours, I just prefer to wait until it goes to court. (Where of course Mr Gerrard can easily afford some very good and expensive lawyers)

At the end of the day he may get off but he will have to go home to a child that isn't his.

:D

But then George Best had to go home with a liver that wasn't his.

Touché

Yes but George Best was quite happy with a liver that wasn't his. His own wasn't very good.

Well it was inevitable regardless of what kidney he had really wasn't it. At least he had a great career and wouldn't retire as one of the most hated footballers of his era.
