The Hadlee-Hockley trophy is the new List-A league, set to be organised by the New Zealand Cricket Board, in an effort to give the Domestic structure a boost, as well as pushing the Women Cricket to the forefront as well.
The Trophy has been named after the legendary New Zealand cricketers, Sir Richard Hadlee and Debbie Hockley.
Sir Richard Hadlee needs no introduction to anyone who has followed even a shred of cricket. Considered among the greatest cricketers, and all rounders to ever grace the game, he carried the fortunes of his team, almost throughout his career, becoming the first bowler to cross 400 wickets in Test Cricket. The Men's championship has been named the Richard Hadlee Cup as a tribute to him.
