The New Indian Team

India already have 2 teams

Men in Blue & Women in Blue ;)

and why is this in the world cup section. and what does it have to do with the WC.

Moved to correct forum.

If this is about the BCCI's recent annoucement that they will have two Indian teams (Blues and Reds, I think) then I think it's just a fancy way of referring to India/India A.

Isn't there yet another discussion similar to this going on here ?
Yes it looks similar, threads merged.

What about this,I read it on the net from someone

Very simple.Players have to perform and should be paid for each activity on the field. To be applied universally.
Batsman : Rs 100 per run for first 10 runs provided you score atleast 10.Rs 200 per run between 10-20.Rs 300 per run between 20-30. Rs 500 per run between 30-40.Rs 700 per run between 40-50. Rs 1000 per run from 50 onwards. Rs 50000 additional per century.
Bowlers - Rs 1000 per over with 3 RPO or less
Rs 500 per over for 3-4 RPO
Rs 250 per over for 4-5 RPO
Rs 100 for above 5 -7RPO
Rs 0 for 7 & above.
Rs 10000 for first wicket
Rs 25000 for two wickets
Rs 40000 for 3 wickets
Rs 60000 for 5 wickets , Rs 100000 for 5 & above
For Fielding :
Every catch lapko : Rs 15000 , Rs 25000 for second catch , Rs -25000 for every dropped catch.
Balance for fielding, we can leave the job to the coach , selector and board. However to devise incentive for them , I can be reached on my e-mail.
We can work out incentive for each area of cricket. Believe you me , Sehwag would have preferred to sell Bisleri in stands , if we had followed this incentive in the last 50 matches.
Sachin ,our great batsman , definetly would have quit gracefully since the incentive figures shall be paid on annual basis and he would hardly had madeRs 100000 in 06-07 and 05-06.I am sure he is not a fool who would fall shamelessly.
I also agree with great Narayan Murthy on processes required for training , but still incentive will separate the jokers from players and it will also ensure that no job is permanent.

^
In addition to the above, a fine of Rs 10,000 for every single not run. Retrospectively, I may add. :p

Ganguly will have to sell his $40 million/year business to pay for all that :))

Well,
After the debacle some heads will roll mostly of players who did not take part in the matches and were on the bench but my team for bangladesh would be

There is no ganguly as i think in odis his batting does not overcome his other liabilities.Irfan pathan or zaheer khan on form and powar over harbhajan as
harbhajan is not a wicket taker in odis and yomahesh is highely rated fast bowler who deserves his chance.

My line up would be
1-sachin
2-utthapa/shewag
3-rohit sharma
4-rahul
5-yuvraj
6-dhoni
7-irfan/raina/kaif
8-piyush chawla
9-munaf
10-shresanth
11-yomahesh
Ganguly isnt a liability. He is not the quickest on the field, but he is certainly not a bad fielder. His fielding has improved and he is scoring runs. It would be stupid to drop him.
Then Sachin as captain? History shows that he is a terrible captain, who cant take pressure. He is even more defensive that Dravid. Add to that his poor form. He already has too many things to worry about.
Both Suresh Raina and Kaif have been given ample oppertunities. You seriously think they are going to contribute more than say Saurav?
Since 2006-01-01 Kaif averaged 18.94 from 22 matches. In the same period Raina has played 10 matches and his avg is 16.37. So on what basis you want them back?
Dinesh Karthick looks a better batsman than those two.
Next coming to the bowling lineup. Agarkar has picked up 44 wickets from 33 matches he has played since 2006-01-01. Keep in mind that pitches in India arent exactly the best for a fast bowler. Yet, he has picked up wickets and done his job. Agarkars rpo is 4.67 which isnt too bad either.
Unfortunately, we dont have a good benchstrength. We arent australia. We dont have a hussey or clark or hodge or tait or mitchell johnson waiting to get in.
I think we need a good coach. I have always maintained that Chappel is a terrible coach. He got personal with Ganguly, and tried to get rid of him due to non-cricketing reasons. He is a controll freak. Instead of giving the players confidence he demoralises them. Look at people like Sehwag and Pathan and Harbhajan. They have been on a download spiral for last year or so.
If the players we have perform to their potential, that would be good enough.

I would like a very extreme pay per performance fee structure.
They should have a very low base salary - not exceesing 10,000 per match. Then they should get 1 lakh or 2 lakh per win. Additional bonus for winning a tournament. But, this is never going to happen.

I dont think foreign coach is neccesarily a bad idea, provided you get a good coach. Someone like Whatmore or Boycott.

Dravid to remain as coach. Yeah, no one (maybe other than Ganguly or KKD) Is else suited for the job.

I have a dream of my team for the 2011 World Cup... I know thinking about 2011 world cup is a bit too far, but i was thinking of it and wanted to share it here

I will use this year's world cup team and replace the necessary players

Virender Sehwag - Gautam Gambhir
Robin Uthappa - Robin Uthappa
Rahul Dravid - Mohammed Kaif
Yuvraj Singh - Yuvraj Singh
Sachin Tendulkar - Pujara/Badrinath (I will go for Badrinath)
Saurav Ganguly - Suresh Raina
Dinesh Karthik - Dinesh Karthik
MS Dhoni - MS Dhoni
Irfan Pathan - Irfan Pathan
Anil Kumble - Piyush Chawla
Harbhajan Singh - Ravindra Jadeja
Ajit Agarkar - T Yomahesh
Zaheer Khan - Zaheer Khan
Munaf Patel - L Balaji
S Sreesanth - S Sreesanth

Captain: Yuvraj (or) Mohammed Kaif

One important thing, there will be no heavy legs in the team. Most of them are very good fielders.

And the team has a good share of all rounders in Irfan Pathan, Piyush Chawla and Ravindra Jadeja. Ravindra Jadeja is a brilliant fielder, a very useful left arm spinner and a very good batsman too. He shone along with Piyush Chawla in the Under-19 World Cup.

What are your thoughts on this team? I feel this would be a great team capable of giving any team a great fight!

A great team except you are ignoring the youth of the next four years which is a common but fatal mistake to make.
