*It could have been more ugly than this!

The Role-Reversal Draft
The idea is simple. This draft is about those players, of whom you did not know about. Chaminda Vaas, the no. 8 batsman whose batting average was higher than Thisara Perera. Or Kane Williamson, who is a better spinner than...... Tabraiz Shamsi? I don't know :D

With all this in place, there have to be some rules to decide how you all are going to pick your players. And they are below:

  • :bat: (x6) | When selecting a batsman, they must be someone who in real-life had been selected as a non-batsman. In order to be eligible, they should have played 60% or more of their innings at number eight or below in the batting order.
    • For a player who has played in 100 Tests, this means that they must not have been one of the top seven batsmen more than 80 times.
  • :bwl: (x4) | When selecting a bowler, they must be someone who in real-life had been selected as a non-bowler. In order to be eligible, they should have been one of the first four bowlers used in a maximum of 40% of possible innings.
    • For a player who has played 100 Tests, this means that they must not have been one of the first four bowlers more than 80 times.
  • :wk: (x1) | When selecting a wicket-keeper, they must be someone who has kept wicket in a Test, but not in more than 40% of the Tests they have played.
    • For a player who has played 100 Tests, this means that they must not have been the designated wicket-keeper in more than 40 of them.
  • Your wicket-keeper also must not bat in the top six positions.
  • :ar: (x?) | You may select somebody as an all-rounder so long as they meet both the batting and bowling criteria.

I'm in bud.

Budget draft of ages would be restricting us to current era. Perhaps should be at least age at debut?

Sounds fair![DOUBLEPOST=1588172027][/DOUBLEPOST]
Budget Draft: Don't get confused! Here the budget will be the sum of ages at which the players debuted. Elegant!
Here you go!

I'm in
but i didn't got the alert from your mention...

The Mediocre Draft: This draft is about those players who were neither worse nor great. I mean, statistically! Only players with Test averages with both bat and bowl in 30s will be accepted. I have not figured out how to set rules but I think you all get the idea. An example would be Marsh brothers.
Okay so there's two ways of doing this. The first is to make it the goal to pick the third-best team out of five. This way people will themselves try to avoid picking excessively good players. The other is the forty-thirty draft which might be my next one - all batting averages must be under 40 and all bowling averages must be over 30. Shakib and Stewart are the big picks in that draft.

But yeah, my preference would be for a role reversal draft.

this one will definitely be a challenge for me, as I'm not too familiar with a lot players' history when it comes to who was selected as a batsman and who was a bowler... but hopefully I can find out by doing some research

this is the only part I'm struggling with, is there a way to find out who was used as first four bowlers through a query (statsguru or someplace else), rather than going through a bunch of test matches to find out?

It's on their Statsguru career summaries.

Visit their Cricinfo player profiles, then select "Bowling Career Summary"
