The perfect example of how certain people overreact is to see the difference when England won the World2020 and when India does anything slightly significant.

The only person to make a thread about England winning the World2020 was RDF, when India won it..........................

its how we are Mark. we always behave in an extreme way. we overreact to victory and we overreact to defeat.

you guys are having a problem with this whole Sachin = God thing ??
wait for him to score a few ducks and it wont be long before the same guy who called him god to create a thread saying "Its Time To Retire Sachin" or something similar.

Moderation might do the job there, Mark.

It's almost IMPOSSIBLE to moderate that part of the forum, almost a post every 5 sec, how the heck you ll go on moderating it? Ask Tom the experience he had

lets just close that forum for a week or two and see what difference it makes to the site overall.

Search terms on Google like "IPL patch" EA Cricket 07" " Ashes 09" "Cricket games for PC" planet cricket is in the top10 results they will still continue to reg and post in every forum section for download links and IPL patch..

I think the bigger problem is that all discussion in CD today is driven around posting a news article and then commenting on it. I remember a time at PC where news articles had their own subforum so that if you wanted to post an article (whether you had written it or someone else) it had a place to go.

Very good point. I know I have done this before then thought to myself how I've actually added little myself.

Theres a certain member who only posts reports and that really gets on my wick.

We are discussing ideas about C07 in the staff room. The segregation idea, I honestly cannot see it happening, but we shall discuss, like we shall discuss all options and ideas being brought up.

I think to look from the other perspective, the Indian "Kids" don't have it easy. Like anyone of that age (bevab has taken a lot of stick, he is only 12!) they are trying to impress their peers rather than post in a "natural" manner. I do think we can improve integration, remember Giggity Giggity when he was new? Next year he won Most Improved member.

Integration > Segregation (didn't work for South Africa, not working for Israel, it just doesn't work imo) and we will work to make it happen.

This is another problem and I call it the 'deepthroat' syndrome. This happens to Dutchad as well. Mark has had probably more incidents with sub-continental members than Tom had, yet his is still considered God. People just clutch on to him, when he goes 'oh no, Mark, please don't go' and he comes back it's all 'yeah, the saviour has returned'. 'You saved our lives, we are eternally grateful.'

Yea segregation is an awful idea and like Stinky said it would be a damning indictment on us all if we would rather remove ourselves from a section of the populous then try to work out our differences.

cant you guys have something like a "Quality Approval" test ?? basically, anyway in which moderation of the forum does not result in insanity.

Posts from New members are under mod scanner iirc.

suggestion: put all high quality downloads in the download section (ofcourse credit the patch maker) close the thread for posting Appoint a user who'll manage the Co7 download section who will test the download if worthy enough to add
