I don't care about it at all, I just wanted to point out that there are many members who think cheeky comments or even objective criticism are "racist" comments.

The rep system is just for a laugh, but it is a bit annoying because there are a few members (MuchMore in particular) who habitually neg rep me for no reason other than the fact that they are petty and vindictive. What's even more pathetic is that Muchmore is an adult or at least claims to be. Anyone who knows me well enough, would know that calling me racist against people of sub-continent origin is ludicrous and baseless.

Oh and the don't mess with the Indians comment was tongue in cheek, so yes, it was a bit misleading, i just did not want to name the person who put it there.

Firstly, any complaints against a moderator are to be done in private to a globie/admin. Secondly, I will also point out that telling a member of staff what he should do is not favourable nor is abusing a staff member.

Ollie apologised in the first page of this thread, I have accepted his apology and the issue is now closed, if you have an issue, PM me about it and I shall deal with it accordingly. This is not to be discussed in this thread or any other part of the forum.

I also think that if you people are going to throw Racism accusations around they need to:

1) Send the accusation to a globie/admin.
2) Substantiate your claims, as they will not be taken lightly if you are just making it up.

I believe claims of racism to be very serious, follow the above two parts of the procedure.

Edit: On the reps abuse, I have removed rep permissions from 3 members. As you say, it is for a bit of fun, it is not to be used as a channel of abuse, a channel which people seemingly think we cannot monitor.

So a staff member gets away by just saying sorry for the offense which gets infractions to other members ? That isn't the kinda message you wanna communicate to the members of PC

We are discussing ideas about C07 in the staff room. The segregation idea, I honestly cannot see it happening, but we shall discuss, like we shall discuss all options and ideas being brought up.

I think to look from the other perspective, the Indian "Kids" don't have it easy. Like anyone of that age (bevab has taken a lot of stick, he is only 12!)they are trying to impress their peers rather than post in a "natural" manner. I do think we can improve integration, remember Giggity Giggity when he was new? Next year he won Most Improved member.

i dont know his history but those VMs would've hurt bad(esp for a 12 year old)!

That's plain wrong, i know he can be slightly annoying, but if he is only 12, it's understandable. That sort of thing should be clamped down on by the mods.

How is a thread about Sachin crying even remotely racist?

This is the problem, you can't criticize the over indulgence of Sachin without being branded a racist.
