Farveez Maharoof, the hero of the first two games today might have learnt a good lesson - hitting against a "Doosra". Bhajji served up the perfect doosra on middle stump and Maharoof trying to clear mid on succeeded in scooping the ball towards mid off where J.P Yadav took a superb catch after running in for 5 yards.

Harbhajan is really making the most of Kartik's absence, especially after his dismal show in Mohali.

Vaas and Fernando lead a revival of sorts...

Chaminda Vaas and Dilhara Fernando have set upon salvaging with what ever they have at hand to improve Sri Lanka's woeful position. They have struck a boundary apiece of the dibbly dobblies of J.P.Yadav. Dravid's attacking field sets have helped them hit over the infield with abandon. Sri Lanka have crossed the 100 run mark and if they reach 150, they will be mightily pleased.

Harbhajan snares Vaas!

Bhajji continued his torment of the Sri Lankan lower order with his flight, turn and guile. Chaminda Vaas, getting frustrated on being tied down tried to give the turbanator the charge and was castled. It was a pathetic excuse of a shot as he tried to loft the ball over cover when it was pitched on middle stump.

Vaas scored 12 runs off 21 balls with the soiltary boundary. Sri Lanka are 113/9 as the last man Muralitharan walks in.

Sri Lanka bundled for 131!

Indian bowlers have completed their demolition job. They have bowled out the islanders for a paltry 131. It could have been much worse if not for Fernando, Vaas and Murali - in short, the last 3. It took 35 overs for Sri Lanka to score their 131.

Harbhajan grabbed his 3rd when Murali inside edged a ball on to his stumps.

With a paltry target of onle 132 to win, India begin their chase to gain some footing into the series. Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar walk into the ground to open the innings. This is an ominous sign for the Sri Lankans as these two are in dazzling form with the bat.

India Lose Sachin after a bright start..

India had the almost perfect start when Sachin Tendulkar executed a divine backfoot punch for four through the covers of the very first ball he faced. Vaas now has suffered this treatment in all 3 matches of the series so far.

Sehwag too started off from where he left at Mohali by executing a picteresque cover drive of Dilhara Fernando.

Fernando then struck back in his 2nd over by luring Tendulkar to play a false shot and castling him. Sachin was gone for 5 and India are 10/1.
