Sunday 30th March

I had had a really bad sleep last night. I couldn't help but think that within two days, I could be heading to jail I phoned my best mate Ivan (ivandm15 ) and told him my predicamnet. He recommend I phone his sister Jessy who was a lawyer in partnership with Freddie Seccombe. I phoned Ivan's sister and she told me that her company would be dealing with my case and that Freddi would be my lawyer at court. She gave me his mobile number and said if I needed to talk to him, just phone him up. She also told me that the prosecuting lawyer would be the dreaded Andrew Nixon who was known for pressing for harsh punishments The judge would be Sarvesh Mali who was known to give out fair judgements and she said that I had a chance with him on the case.

I decided that I would phone Freddi when I reached the ground. I left my house at eight thirty and it was nine by the time I reached there. Everyone said they were certain I would get off as I was a professional and we never get sent down. Eventually we all went outside to warm up and I had a bit of a bowl in the nets. Even though I was worried I was able to push the case to the back of my mind. Eventually when it was time to take to the field I felt pretty good. Everyone had cheered me up and I had a day's worth of cricket to look forward to.
