Tour match thread -Scotland v Australia Aug 28

Mcdonald is doing pretty well. If he scores a century here, who knows the selectors might choose him over Watson.

In terms of batting the selectors have more confidence in Watson and I think more love too. But hes out anyway. Watson in for another hit out, guess that means North could be missing out on the 3rd test.

Haha, look what you did. :p

Super knock though.

Hughes is gone too, middle stump uprooted. :O wtf, Graham Manou out at four; king pair?

It's early but

M Johnson 1.0----0----9----0

He must be dropped after this performance.

To be honest this could be johnson last match.:Dwatson played awesome innings.:clap

So what happened to Hussey? He retired hurt or something.

He retired. It's really common in tour matches. They just retire when they have had their practice.

Cheers.

Bit off topic here when I googled retired out. Found it interesting enough to be posted :P

Interesting.

Clark doing well, sucks for Manou though cause he's unlikely to get his chance in the test series now. Why is he backup anyway, why not Ronchi? Ronchi's statistics are a lot better than Manou's

Are you serious? Ronchi is incredibly dire, plus he can't even make the Western Australia first XI. Plus, Manou has been in great form, and justified that in the second innings.

Didn't Ronchi get dropped from State at one point ?

Indeed he did.

My god is he really opening isn't katich playing i think siddle should come 1st down.:laugh

It's a tour match. This stuff regularly happens. Katich had a bat in the first innings, he only made 25 but he must either feel in good nick and not need to bat, or it's Punters orders to get McDonald opening the batting or high in the order.

I'd drop Mitch and one of Hughes/North and bring in Clark and Watson.

Overractions. One good game in a tour match doesn't mean dropping your opener who is supposed to be Australia's future and everything else, after only a few poor innings. Plus, North scored a century in the first innings at Cardiff, plus a century in his debut against South Africa.

I agree with dropping Mitch though, there is a difference between him and the batsmen you mentioned. He is looking terrible, really terrible.

Why so many hyphens? Just use one.

I dont understand all this hype with Hughes being back in form? Well done he managed to score 60 odd against a team that are basically 5th from bottom in div 2?
