Not really liking Breaking Bad this season. Mainly since the characters are what impressed me the most in other seasons, but now none of the characters are likeable at all. Also I've been watching it quite late so it doesn't help that all my mates have spoilt have of the events in the season
.
As for episode 7, I definitely saw the ending coming. As soon as Walt took a look at that gun, I knew he was going to go crazy with it and do something he'll regret. Honestly hating Walt now, such a crazy ----.
Anyway, I'll watch the final episode and see if my opinion has changed.

Walt is not meant to be likeable. That's what the show is about- the journey of how you, the viewer, go from rooting from him to hating him, and why. I think Vince Gilligan has said as much.

I think the development of Walt, Jesse and Mike is one of the best parts of the show. Jesse especially is such a good character. Seeing him change all throughout the show is brilliant. I'm surprised you don't find him likeable though.

I feel Jesse has had a fairly pointless role so far in season 5. Everything has been to do with Walt, with a bit of Mike and Skylar scattered in there as well as Jesse and Hank's fairly pointless roles.
I'm just a bit disappointed as I thought the show would go in a certain direction this season, and it seems to have gone the other way. However, after the last episode, it appears to be going back in my favoured direction, so I'm pumped for the new season

I agree, the character development IS the best part of the show, I've always felt that way about the show. I'm not a fan of being forced to really hate the main character, that's all.
It doesn't help that I knew what was going to happen in almost every episode for various reasons.
Anyway, let's forget about this half season, what matters is this second half. Should be amazing.

Going to watch it, the full first season comes out on the 17th I believe. The pilot is on NBC's website.
