Well, we did win the T20 WC and are the champions...

So I'd say a Champions League without at eam from the champions is just.. pointless.

Why do you keep on repeating the same point again and again? This is most probably the fourth post where you've said this same thing. Yeah, we've understood you. We've understood what you are trying to say. Now please stop repeating.

Pakistan govt wont allow Sialkot Stallions to travel to India. Simple.

Well, they have lifted the travel restrictions, so Modi might allow them. There's still heaps of time left. Why don't we wait a bit instead of lashing out at Modi now? And another thing, though Modi is at the helm, he cannot take these decisions alone. There is a governing body which comprises of representatives from every board taking part. So, if they don't include a Pakistani team- that will be a decision taken by all of them together, not Modi alone.

Originally Sialkot would have made it but revised competition ment they missed out due to travel restrictions and I have not come across anything saying travel restrictions are off.

India is still dangerous to tour. :p

I would have thought the best thing to do would be to hold the tournament outside of India and admit Pakistani teams. They'd probably make more money out of holding the tournament elsewhere where you could charge more for tickets anyhow. They'll still make huge amounts of money out of the Indian TV market.

But of course, we all know this 'competition' is just an IPL exhibition anyway.

Yeah and all matches involving IPL teams will be fixed from start.

This is the only Twenty20 thing I will watch for a long time. I never miss a chance to watch NSW and if our youngsters beat some of the worlds best then I don't want to miss out on that.

Otago include McCullum in Champions League squad | New Zealand Cricket News | Cricinfo.com

Its a pretty decent team:

1 Neil Broom, 2 Nick Beard, 3 Derek de Boorder, 4 Anthony Bullick, 5 Ian Butler, 6 Craig Cumming, 7 Sean Eathorne, 8 Shaun Haig, 9 Mathew Harvie, 10 Dimitri Mascarenhas, 11 Brendon McCullum, 12 Nathan McCullum, 13 James McMillan, 14 Warren McSkimming, 15 Aaron Redmond, 16 Hamish Rutherford, 17 William Somerville, 18 Greg Todd, 19 Neil Wagner

It would probably look something like this:

1.Brendon McCullum
2.Aaron Redmond
3.Hamish Rutherford
4.Craig Cumming
5.Neil Broom
6.Dimitri Mascarenhas
7.Nathan McCullum
8.Warren McSkimming
9.James McMillian
10.Nick Beard
11.Neil Wagner

They should go all right, can't see them beating the Aussie teams though.

It'll be good to see this. Where and when is it? I'll probably only watch it if it's at a reasonable hour.

I'll be cheering on the Chennai boys! Hope they can win the trophy.

This will be a great opportunity for the state sides and counties to embarrass the Micky Mouse IPL teams. The only reason the IPL teams will even be remotely competitive is because of all the foreign players.

Chennai is not there for the CL 2009.
From India, the three teams are Deccan Chargers, Delhi Daredevils and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
