Under 19 World Cup

Well, another match day, another comprehensive win for India!

Thats all that can be said! ;)

Piyush took a wicket and went for 4 runs an over. Not bad but not very good either!

Our openers played really well though!

Although our middle and lower order collapsed, we still bowled well to win!

To sum it all up, that was a good double win for India. (U19 & Main team)

We will face England in the semis, and probably Australia in the finals.

After our mens and womens team lost to Australia in the World Cups, hopefully our U19 team can do that.

And btw, why isnt any other Indian supporter on this thread?

And, this is my longest post on PlanetCricket!

Having to rely on someone born outside of Australia then. :D

Nothing new our star ODI player is born overseas :)
Plus who is Henquries going to play for? We are just keeping him warm until Portugal come into cricket ;)

Must say Henquries bowls quite a few wides but is very economical.
That Copper guy is a talent too making another big score this tournament. Henquries well what can I say, he is the all round package!

Portugal already are in cricket. But now Henriques has played for the Aussie Under 19s, he'd have to wait 4 years to be able to play for Portugal.

Thats not Test standard cricket, we can't have the next best thing playing in that. ;)
I take you English wait the 4 years before getting the South Africans. :D

One full South African in our team atm, although KP does have English blood in him.

Chopra played a nice fast innings :sarcasm:

never heard of him.

but hes australias best all rounder.
Dont worry about putting him in state cricket, put him in the aus team straight away.

Matt Giteau? represented aus international rugby union team before ever playing super 12's with a state team.

On Wednesday 15th February it will be England vs India

On Friday 17th February it will be Pakistan vs Australia

Both the semi-finals will be televised by Sky Sports.

I was expecting Bangladesh in the semi-finals, but that's how cricket goes.

It would be a great treat to see Pakistan and India in the final.

Bangladesh didn't do as great as they can. Maybe they were a little too attacking? Oh well, they are still the WC 2011 Champs!!!

So how many of you guys are on the Moises Henriques bangwagon?

142 runs @ 47.33
13 wickets @ 8.62

I would be one :)

Matt Giteau plays rugby which is a lot easier to find your feet than cricket. In cricket you have these guys trying to smash you all over the place and guys like Murali and Ahktar bowling at you. It's especially hard for an all rounder to debut.
Henquries needs some games in ING but come the Bangladesh tour I expect to see him in the Aussie team!

actually thats not such a bad idea...i know for a fact that Trevor Hohns is aware of Henriques after an article i read...we'll see what happens.
But time in the ING Cup is really what he needs

I had that idea first that Henriques should tour Bangladesh so Aus can produce someone similar like a Pathan who came down under when he was 19 :D
