Another pretty interesting series this. Just three matches and I am completely fine with it. UAE and Scotland are favorites seeing its a 50 over competition. Having said that I would love to see Hong Kong win the cup. Scotland and HK both should be familiar with the conditions.

Good start this from Hong Kong. 132/5 Scotland. If they restrict Scotland under 200 it will be a good confidence booster.

Abu Dhabi is not an easy ground to score runs in white ball cricket.

To be fair to HK, from what I have read its more due to good bowling from HK bowlers then anything to do with pitch

I am just glad teams like Scotland and HK are playing cricket in overseas conditions. Will make them a better team.

Wow! What a win this from Hong Kong. Absolute domination, as I mentioned earlier Hong Kong are really becoming a good LO outfit. They need more games, they need better infrastructure. Very pleased with this victory. The pitch was slow but they bowled really well and Babar Hayat is such a key member for them.

Do or die match for Scotland today. They have been mediocre to be honest throughout the Desert T20 challenge too. With World Cricket league & Intercontinental Cup coming up next they should really buck up

I thought they just played a T20 competetion. Why are they playing a tri series suddenly?? (Refering to the three teams playing) Kind of odd becuase they need some rest at least.

Because that T20 competition was scheduled on a fly. It was a very short notice given and this is the reason Papua New Guinea couldnt play in this tournament given they had already had other commitments where the international players were scheduled to play in Australian county circuit if I am not wrong. Scotland are on a 6 month break so far after this as the next schedule for them is ICC WCL and Continental cup against Namibia, whereas Hong Kong are playing their WCL & Continental cup match in Feb against Netherlands.

A very well deserved cup win for UAE. Scotland were poor throughout this tournament and need to really comeback and play strong cricket in the WCL and continental cup. Hong Kong did well winning that first match but did not play well and UAE bowlers just strangled them in this match.
