Upload Limit

I create downloads, for Cricket 07 although some of my downloads are quite large which don't fit on the upload thing. It says around 47 mb, but after 5 mb it just says it fails uploading.

I would like that to be upgraded because I would rather only members download my stuff, and that way PC gets more members.

It will not lead to many copies of my patches everywhere else illegally on different sites as the ipl patch had a lot of that.

Thanks

If it stops at 5MB that is due to either the server or your internet connection timing out during the upload. The only solution I can suggest right now is separating large downloads into parts (and then spanning over a few posts if the 3 file limit becomes an issue).

We will look into other options to help make uploads easier, but for now that is all I can suggest.

The reason can be the file upload limit restrictions on server by the hosts server

That must be incredibly frustrating.....

It sure is, I did a grave mistake by putting up my ipl patch on zshare. The countless amount of forums and sites it has been plagerized on. Then when I tried to do something about it they banned me from the site.

I have an idea, what if I upload my patch on zshare, then send it to an admin/mod, who can upload it on that post. Matt remember we tried this before and it didn't work, what could have been the reason for that.

Why don't you give the poor guy some space at the PC server like PC Patch team had so he can give direct links? Probably better than Rapidshare ...

Those sites better run for the hills. It's time to kick some ass.

Anyone remember the last time this happened with that website giving out fake passwords for members accounts here? This is going to be 10x better than that

Why not password protect all the files you allow for download? Then atleast they have to unzip and rezip it all to copy it. Also try tagging your name to each file you upload somehow so it says the author of the file.

To stop this planet cricket don't allow guests to download files. This means that planetcricket members are doing this:spy

No, it means someone has joint then downloaded then not come back. Just add an author to the name of the file. Also surely your aim of making patches is for people to use them, so despite not getting credit its still getting used.
