What do you guys think? He has been out of form for quite a long time. Can he come back?
What should India do with him right now?

He should stop being persisted with for ODI's. He should be given chances in test matches--where he is much better.

he need to work on his game...like footwork and technique..

if he work and correct his errors in batting..he will have a great career

He was good in 2003, ;). Really good

Definately. You do not earn an average of 50 opening in test matches for nothing.

In ODIs, I think he can be picked as an explosive option and part time spinner but one must not expect too much from him.

I think Viru will be a better 6 or 7 rather then an opener in ODI's.
License to attack, plus his wicket won't put India in much pressure for the entire innings like it happens when he opens.

I think his nickname should be changed from 'Viru' that sounds dirty.

We have much better openers and middle order batsmen in ODI's so I don't think he is needed in that, having said that, you don't know what you're gonna get with him.

If Viru can loose his body weight and avoid the laziness, he is going to be like how he was before during the initial part of his career. He is very much needed for Indian team's future especially once after Tendulkar retires. Hopefully, he makes a good comeback with a bang. :)

He should stick to opening position. Viru and Gambhir need to open after the career of big three.

India has given him lots of chances to prove himself in the last 2 years. But he failed in all of them. An indian version of Andrew Strauss

Puhleez !

Andrew Strauss and Sehwag !
No ways.
Okay,if you are going by the fact that both have captained their sides, but as far as the batting and gameplay is concerned ,its a strict no-no.

Maybe he'll make a comebakc like Matthew Hayden !
Also Viru is going bald.

I know it s too far-fetched a theory, but can't help drawing comparisions between the two.

I don't think he's even 30 yet. He can make a comeback, but everything that got him dropped needs to be gone. He needs to be convincing. He needs to be a monster.
