We Should File an Official Complaint (Response from 505 Games post 99)

I don't agree with this complete innocence of 505. Sure, they didn't make this crap, but they still published it. If they honestly didn't know how poor it was then it was extreme negligence. I don't think that was the case though, so they most likely did know how bad it was a still chose to take pre-orders and ultimately sell it.

At the end of the day it was 505 Games' decision to release this abomination. There are no innocent parties here and everyone has to share boatloads of blame.

Ofcourse they are not that was sarcasm from my side to write them innocent angels.

I wasn't really referring to your post or anyone's in particular. They just seem to be getting off lightly, despite their clear incompetence.

has anyone re-read the "Ashes Cricket described" thread?

what was being shown while this utter, utter rubbish - these lies - were being told? surely anyone in that room then must have known the game was going to be awful... even if the bugs/gameplay was fixed, the graphics are amateurish.

there are just so many questions...

We were lied to throughout. That's the only conclusion one can reach.

Also I saw motion captured videos of bowler run-up and batsman playing all kind of shots, I don't understand where is all of that. Current animations are surely hand animated bowling actions and everything is truly just awful.

If all of this was a lie then I dont know what they were trying to pull off, I am sure they are no criminal fraud masterminds and just idiots to publish all those "ashes cricket described" articles and videos when they were doing nothing behind the door.

Maybe Trickstar Games is a front for tax write offs and money laundering. Damn! I knew I shouldn't have been that much into Breaking Bad.

Who knows then boy we are in danger for exposing them.

May be they are just trolling Big Ant and Ross and will release the real product after DBC's release. :D

PS: Looks like one of the worst game ever. Ashes Cricket 2009 was god like in front of this piece of sh!t. Glad i didn't waste my money onto this.

We are sorry to hear you are not happy with your copy of Ashes Cricket game.

...and by 'sorry' we mean we don't really give a shit, but we'll say it because it'll make you feel better and doesn't cost us any money. Which, for the record, we now have a ton of spare $20 bills we use as napkins in the office because you all brought our terrible game.

I will certainly pass on your feedback on this game to the development team.
Can I ask you to please let us know a bit more about the glitches and bugs you have found? This may help the developers.

Lol. Thought the exact same thing. I understand the OP's point about taking a stand and letting them know we are not happy with this. But letting them know that will have no effect. They havent listened to us all these months when they needed us to buy their product. Why would they listen now when we (well some of us) have already bought it? They knew it was a piece of turd, they knew no one will be happy with it and yet they sold it. That gives you an idea of what they were thinking.

About letting acb and ecb know, i am not sure two boards being run by 70 year old dudes give a shyt about computer games. They got their money from 505 games and that is all they probably care about. So letting them know probably wont do much as i dont see 505 games even TRYING another cricket game in the future with ANY developer. Their rep is ruined regarding the cricket gaming market. They will move on to other things/games.

i wonder if it's work flagging this up to the likes of Cook and Clarke on twitter... obviously they've got much bigger fish to fry right now, but their personal management/PR will not be happy about their image being associated with this, because it tarnishes their ability to endorse other products.
