Gayle is a very good death bowler, he just stands at the crease and because of his height just pegs the ball in the blockhole from an awkward height, and goes thru his overs quickly.

Hussey is different from Marshall, though they are both natural accumulators, Hussey can turn it on with some big hitting, i've never really seen that from Marshall.

Marshall is more like Clarke actually. McCullum would be closer to Hussey.
Hopefully Gayle fires to give the Black Caps a good run for their money and their fans getting to see a close contest.

Marshall can't really hit anywhere near as big as Hussey.

Bond got Gayle again, this is going to be very tough from here.

Why did you guys take out Franklin so early? He is a swing bowler not much use after that.
Good to see Sarwan in, if anyone can get them home its him.

I thought Katich was bad, Ganga is making him look like Gilly the way he is going.
Strike Rate 35.90 with 14 off 39 balls. He has wasted so much balls and pushed the run rate requried above 6 an over.

Experimentation

Mason bowled really well though. So good move.

Bond bowled extremly well. Was unlucky not to have 2 more wickets or so. Most runs off him were streaky.

Fair enough the World cup is less than a year away so guess they have to experiment a bit. They should have take that Taylor guy as he was in awesome form in State cricket.

3 new players is a big much. I am glad we didn't get too carried away. hes only 20, so give him another year. The last thing he needs is a nightmere series.

Good partnership now. Franklin and Mason are bowling ok. Both started well, bowling average now. As soon as these powerplays are off, we can bring in Vettori and Patel. Bond has 5 left too.

Franklin and Mason do look to be NZ problem. They aren't the guys that will get many wickets but more contain and hope for a big shot.

Ganga has played well since I last spoke of him. Sarwan I thought would be scoring faster than this. They have 2 Katich's at the crease :laugh

time for Vettori or Bond id say...kiwis need to break up this partnership before the windies get too close for comfort.

LOL. That Patel wicket was great. Bowled Chanderpaul through his legs. His stance was exploited.

Now Vettori with a wicket. Finally they take him on, and of course lose.

Patel is a young offie. Hes a very good death bowler as he can bowl the block hole ball very well. Also taken a few wickets for the Black Caps. WI just don't have the fire power once Gayle is out to chase or make a big total. Black Caps should take this one 5-0.

McCullum isn't having a shocker. Hes had very tough chances. Made a brilliant run out. Not one of his best days, he did miss 1 stumping off Vettori. Otherwise a few catches hit him on the sholder or leg, impossible really.

The umpire made a poor decision, Vettori had a plumb LBW. But he did get that one where it wasn't nicked. So even I guess.


Pretty big win.
