Holy shiz, Paine and Voges? Oz's opening slot has been a bra after Haydo and Gilly disappeared.. and they have tired on many of them

Marsh is out with injury so not like we had any choice. This is the perfect chance for Voges to show what he can do, much more happier seeing him in as opener as it gives us something to look for.

Hodge doesn't have a international career anymore. If he didn't get it in his prime he isn't getting it now. Warner might as well get a shot as the Aussies have the series locked down.

Warner has been pretty average in OD and hes now at 6/7. Hughes played one of his worst innings last match, took forever and then got out. Hodge is in the never again and no point using him for a one off. And most importantly none of them were picked in the squad. Marsh injury also seemed to be last minute so not like they could call a replacement.

They should have done that, this series is all but dead, may as well see what he can do. And he can't do much worse than the current guys.
