Don't think Johnson knows any other way to bat so bound to do that. Ponting in a fair bit of pain on the front foot so this short stuff ain't too bad. Although Roach will definitely change things.

Is Roach injured or something? There are just 15 minutes to go for stumps and we have Benn bowling at Hauritz and an injured Ponting. Gayle must wake up now before the game is gone.

No, he's been bowling for the last three minutes.

He came in to bowl just as I posted that. Even then, I feel he should have bowled a bit earlier than that.

Hauritz should have protected Ponting by facing the rest of that over and ignoring that single. There is only 1 more over max that Roach would have bowled and it would have given Ponting another day to recover.

Ishant Sharma and now Roach troubling the great man. Rookie quicks v Ponting seems to be the contest people will be waiting for in each test series now.
Nice to see the game being set up as it is right now. Pity the Windies don`t have Chanders and Barath in their side for this game. It would`ve been one heck of a contest otherwise.

As I see it now, its all upto one C.Gayle now.

Hauritz is our only hope now.

A 218 run first innings lead must help in some ways as well.:D

What a comeback by the Windies. Well done them. I have a huge amount of vcash on them at great odds of 11 to 1 or something so hope they can do the unimaginable tomorrow!!!!:D

Wow what a game we coyuld have on our hands here. Australia have folded bad. Shows what a disaster Ponting missing from #3 spot can cause. Suddenly players coming in at times they're not used to etc. WI bowling has been great.

Should be a good chase tomorrow. There will be a result, Australia still have the runs on the board but West Indies have momentum and will need Gayle out. Gayle obviously the key

The day's play netted 16/235, so it's difficult to argue that the pitch is as easy for batting as it was earlier. However, similar things did happen in last year's match where South Africa chased 414 after many batsmen had struggled to post substantial scores. It's a different pitch, but you do get the feeling that it still has some runs in it.

I would love to see the Windies pull it off. It will depend a lot on Mr Gayle one feels and how quickly they can knock those last two wickets over! Once again test cricket proves it can be darned exciting!
