Roflmao, it`d be funny if he goes all ████ tomorrow, but anyway, i`d say we should get 450 by lunch and declare.

Hussey edged a few, but in total, it was about as many as the number of balls that Ponting let hit his pads. Conditions were good for batting, but still fair; plenty of balls did a bit. I don't think anyone was unduly scratchy.

Can't wait for tommorow morning then, it should be fun.

If the pitch quickens up tomorrow, it could be tough to get through the morning session. 450, even 500 is well possible, but I'd kinda hope the Windies don't bowl that badly.

Is the pitch expected to quicken up? It would all depend on Brad Haddin for mine, if the Windies can get him early they could wrap Australia up for under 400. If he get's through the first 20 or so minutes I'd expect Australia to make 450.

The pitch is expected to dry up and cracks to open.

Hence it should still be a good batting track on 2nd day, but movement and spin will come into play later on in the Test match.

IMO this pitch was not a flat one on day 1, there was movement and some swing from the faster bowlers, but WI have missed a crucial chances.

Hmmm, it wasn't as flat as some pitches but for the most part the bowlers didn't really get that much out of it. It's kind of 50/50 for me and I'd be willing to guess had the Windies batted first we would have seen a total of 270 odd for seven at stumps, Australia for the most part batted very well.

TBH I didn't like the way Ponting was dismissed, whenever he gets out like that brings shivers down my spine :noway

Sometimes Ponting should just play back on the crease like Clarke when the bowler has the wood on you.

Great work by Aussies! But stopped watching the match immediately after punter got out in the 50's...:brickwall was pretty much sure that he would go on to make a ton surely!
Hope he gets a decent score in the second innings!:thumbs

This probing WI seam attack will be a handful throughout the series.

Dont know what to make of Ravi Rampauls performance on day one. His 1st test, he created some chances and bowled a good spell at one point actually not giving up allot of runs.
Hope he can pick up a wicket tonight to boost his confidence.

Rampaul bowled well in certain spells, was unlucky not to get a wicket. Lost his way in between those spells that gave his figures a hit but not bad on debut.
