Hussey and Clarke have got Australia back on track, though the Windies bowlers are still keeping good pressure on. Suliemenn Benn and Kemar Roach have both looked impressive with the ball.

Hussey is batting very slowly, and he's only hit one boundary in his innings so far.

Check out the new version of the CA SportsFlash scoreboard.
Drinks: AUS 3/298 (95.0), WIN 451

It is a standard style scorecard now, providing ball by ball updates, but it still includes the graphs that made the old Flash scoreboard a bit different, such as the spider graphs for both batsmen and bowlers.

Looks like cricinfo with Australian colours. That is a lot better than there other one.

WI still haven't named the replacement for Taylor. Maybe there wont be one and they will just go with whoever is there.

Good bowling by Roach, hope WI can pick up another wicket or two with this 2nd new ball.

Roach getting some edges and hitting the batsman a few times but he is bowling a bit to many short balls IMO. Needs to bowl a bit fuller and it will give the batsman more trouble.

Well played Clarke, now show the others how its done by making a 100.

aussie1st added 3 Minutes and 9 Seconds later...

Don't worry about him pitching full, that is his standard length usually. Hes obviously trying to test North out with the short ball.

Yeah, I think the plan for North would be to pitch it short on the body and get him with the odd fuller ball outside off.

I dont want him pitching it full, I just want him bowling just a bit fuller then he is at this moment, at the moment the majority of his balls are short. Should bowl a bit more good length balls.

After losing 3/81 in a 32 over first session packed with effective spin bowling, Australia recovered with 1/91 in just 26 overs against the new ball. At Adelaide, there's every chance the older ball might do more damage, but I'm really surprised it didn't reverse swing, considering the close up pictures of the cratered red orb shown by the broadcast. I suppose not every bowler is a master of it, but maybe they need to get some spin in a bit earlier and then have some time for pace in the 40-80 over region.

Clarke looks good, but they need some acceleration. Clarke and North are both inclined to just take what they're given and not any extra; if it comes to Haddin and Johnson to play whirlwind knocks and ensure a first innings lead with time left, I am not sure if the charge will come too late.

Ah, North is out. I should think that's a relief for both parties, given the state of the match.
