Aussie's just escaped this time.. But Still they will win the next match
:)

Can I ask how? Not being sceptical, just a bit confused :|

Pity about the draw. Wouldn't have minded a WI victory, although admittedly I would have had to cry myself to sleep :D

Gayle a deserving MOTM, Notch might have got it had we won. Looking forward to Perth, one of the Windies strong grounds during THAT era.

Just heard Younis isn't coming down under. My inclination to go to Boxing Day just dropped.

And I was only wondering about it this morning....

Well the only diffirence I suppose was that there was no major contribution from their 2nd Innings like Galye in this match.

+ One of lowest ranked teams V strongest team of the era
+ After recently losing the Ashes
+ Them getting a bigger 1st innings score

You do realise that the West Indies two best bowlers are injured right?

As for the WACA exposing poor technique, I wouldn't be surprised if Roach was able to do the same to a few of the Aussie batsmen tbh. If he's been able to hit them and hurry them up on these pitches imagine him on a Perth pitch.
I honestly doubt the WACA will be any quicker than the Gabba. They keep saying the square is getting quicker, but come the Test, the centre strip just doesn't look much different from year to year.

Managed to catch the highlights of the last 2 days, and really enjoyed the cricket. Gayle was awesome on the 4th day. He played a proper Test match innings and guided his side to a decent total with batsmen falling all around him. Really was a great captains innings, nice to see him carry his bat as well. Was really impressed with Roach and Bravo's bowling as well, especially Roach, man that guys got some wheels! Enjoyed Michael Clarke's innings also, he's brilliant to watch, easily one of the most stylish batsmen in the world.

A psychological victory for the Windies. Shame they did not play with this gumption and confidence in the 1st Test, this could have been a very good series if they had.

Aus to win 2-0

His knock is the answer to all who thinks he should quit captaincy.. and Ganga should be the captain...

TBH Roach is not a very big threat. He hasn't produced in the Gabba or Adelaide Oval.
That's what I am saying about him, he bowls fast and got good seam position, but shows no aggression and is too predictable in length.

Nice compliment you have given to 21 year old Roach, playing in his 4th Test, listening to you, I would say he is just like Johnson, Siddle and company, just less experience!! It is sad he was not accompanied by the likes of Edwards and Taylor!! This is something am waiting to see.

Reports are suggesting Clark will take Siddle's spot. Wouldn't mind seeing McKay given a go in this situation to see if he has what it takes.

Will Hilfy play?

Hilfy is still out injured....

Mckay should play, he is a very good bowler and i think not a lot of people have seen him yet and dont think he'd make it. He's definetly test quality, with some matches under his belt, and i think he should be given a go. Bringing back Clark is just short sighted, this is the aussies chance to put in some fresh blood, and I think Mckay is more likely to be dangerous than Clark anyway.

also, this is the chance to "rest" Hussey, he does need to go back to FC for a little while to regain confidence, why not put watson down the order to utilise his bowling more and try one of the many specialist openers floating around in the country? Jaques or Hughes for example.

How had the WACA pitch played so far this domestic season? Ive heard its gotten slower an slower over the years

In the last news report on Hilfy they said he was also in doubt for the WACA test. Still nothing confirmed on that front. From what I hear in regards to Siddle's injury, its unlikely he will recover in time.

aussie1st added 1 Minutes and 0 Seconds later...

It's actually been good, got bowlers taking wickets and the last match produced a result. But once the Test comes around they look towards making the match last 5 days which results in the pitches you have seen over the past few years.
