if steven smith plays I reckon the windies have a shot at winning this test.

that's an atrocious selection. there is no way he's going to survive, if the windies get on top of just one seamer, mitch having one of his bad days, inexperienced bolly or siddle who can be predictable, australia are in serious trouble.

i live in perth so i wont be able to watch the game on tv till 3pm so does anyone know a stream or something ill be able to watch it on?

A bit ironic isn't it, you live at Perth yet you can't see it :p

Hauritz will play, better luck next time Smith.

Ricky Ponting wins the toss. Australia will bat first.

Looks like a more traditional WACA pitch. Lovely grass covering, watch out for Kemar Roach. Watson and Katich, be wary!

Should be lightning fast and bouncy, and conditions suit. We might see some swing.

Glad that Sammy way dropped, his bowling looked very non threatening in the last match. Not having Shiv and Barath is going to be a huge huge blow. Sarwan better step it up

Well at least Sammy is out. What a bowling attack Tonge playing his first test, Roach in his 5th and Rampaul in his 2nd. Going to get carted around like its school boys playing.

Also weakens the batting with Shiv and Barath already gone taking out Sammy and making the tail even weaker, I can see this being a disaster.

Rampaul in his third game now. Benn should like this pitch, seeing as he's pretty tall. Will spin it a lot.

Like in the Ashes, it seems like the team that's gonna win the series has less hundreds and five fors.

Actually, we've got no hundreds or five fors :|

Only positive for WI is they got rid of Sammy. The batsmen will have to do the job, they will be facing a very inexperienced Aussie attack as well so no better chance for them to do so.

Any bowler getting dropped solely on the weight of a performance at Adelaide is hard done by. There was a lot of suggestion that Tonge should have been in from the start, though.

I would have preferred if Tonge played at Adelaide. Probably offer more with the ball then Sammys pedestrian medium pace. It does take a little bit away from the batting but so far WI haven't taken 20 Aussie wickets.
