I think Latif is better with his strike rate as far as Sharjeel is keep going we need a solid opener who can stay at wicket. We can't have afford two sharjeels at the moment.

But with Babar Azam coming in at 3, Latif is too slow. Pakistan end up wasting a lot of the overs with both at the crease.

Regarding Latif played according to the situation. He performed really well in these three T-20 so far. The way I see, Today He played a critical inning to stay at the wicket when Sharjeel got out so early. Both Babar and Latif build up the innings and remember Dubai is a low scoring ground and besides He got Run Out. The only thing I didn't like about Latif was the slow running.

I think that the team should not worry about Latif much rather should strive to make Sharjeel a bit more consistent and he needs to learn to build up. Everyday is not Sunday! Every Shot won't go for a Six!

Coming to today's match, Though I liked Sarfraz Captaincy and the way he is leading with the front role. He needs to learn a lot as a skipper, You can't get too talkative with your bowlers sometimes. Give them the liberty to take their own decisions especially the youngers like Hasan Ali. Don't confuse them by teaching in each and every ball and don't get panic. Today, We saw some shades of it. But Overall It was wonderful Performance. And eventually Sarfraz will learn more.

ODI squad announced. Happy that Gul, Hafeez aren't there. I think Sami Aslam deserved the chance in UAE as well. Inzamam made a hurry in putting a test label on Aslam. Also Khalid Latif should have been considered as well or any other specialist opener. The current scenario has forced for Azhar Ali as an opener or an experimentation with Babar Azam.

Until or unless Pakistan gets rid of experimentations in ODI they can't have a stable performance. Not happy with selection. The opening slot is still a huge concern here..

I just read on paper that Latif was dropped due to that run-out, His fitness not good for one day according to selectors and he got dropped at the last minute.

If Khalid Latif is dropped solely for that run-out then its a very good sign for Pakistan cricket. That was one embarrassing run-out and he was continuously missing easy doubles. Although he is a good batsman but you can not survive present day cricket with such fitness.
