What games have you been playing recently?

Rise of Nations was awesome. I've lost my disk though :(

Hey, you're back, want to get back to that Mafia game:p?

Sort of back. So busy though. Started a new position at work and playing for two different cricket teams this year now that I have my weekends back. Mafia will have to be a Winter game :p

Ha ha; he was hardly a hero now, was he? More of an anti-hero. What you mean is he's the first game's protagonist. :)

Why aren't you enjoying the game? Is it just not as good as the first; is it down to technical issues; or is it simply that you don't like the fact that the first game's 'hero' is now the bad guy?

First of all not for the 1st parts protagonist. It's running really slow on my PC. Even though, I have Nvidia 560 GTX, 8 GB DDR3 ram,Intel Core i7 3.66 Ghz.
I've get rid of it. Now, started Call Of Duty Black Ops II.

That's what I'm concerned about; I've read a lot of articles that say buying Prototype 2 is a lottery. You could either get an excellent game, a buggy mess, a game that doesn't work at all, or a game that runs terribly despite having good specs. :noway

Incidentally, how did you sell it; isn't it tied to your Steam account?

Completed Assassin's Creed 3. Quite disappointed with its ending.Overall its a good game as it has things like great counter kills, some changed combat systems.
But I think AC 2 was better if we compare the gameplay.

Wow.

I am totally blown away by Prototype now; I've just had one of the most amazing, most visceral boss battles of my entire gaming life.

At first I thought the way the game starts off at the peak of the infection and then flashes back would spoil it, but it hasn't turned out that way. Granted, the game started out a little slowly in my opinion, but then it just got better and better. I've put around thirty hours into this playthrough and the game is still coming out with new things to surprise, amaze and disgust in equal amounts and the developers have really nailed the feeling of a city falling apart bit by bit, day by day, as more and more people become infected.

I have heard that Prototype 2 was a buggy mess on the PC, but I've also heard there have been numerous unofficial fixes found for it. Has anyone here played the game? Is it worth buying now? I really hope so because if Prototype 2 is anything like the first game, it's firmly on my radar.

Prototype is without a doubt one of the best, if not the best, 'open city' games I've ever played - and all I paid was ?3. Three pounds for this amazing, visceral, bloody, gory, disturbing, exhilarating, mindblowing thrill ride. If you haven't played it, and you like open world games, what the hell are you waiting for??

That is a the price you want to pay for P2.Seriously :D.It is plays exactly the same, same mission type same crap.just from a different perspective.
Best game i played this year is Kerbal space programme and prison architect, this games completely changing my gaming experience *ahem*onlyfps*ahem*.

I just finished P1 today. I'll probably pick P2 up when I see it very cheap - I can see myself playing P1 again at some point in any case. It's not often you play a game that's good, that isn't over in two minutes, and has an ending that doesn't let everything else down.

How many times has that been the case with games? So often, the ending lets down what was an amazing game.

Yep , I'll have to agree with that . There are many famous games who had been let down by there ending but still overall were good .

Yep , new sequels , new story (but related to the previous one) , new improvement this is needed in the ongoing life . If sequels keep on coming , we'll never get bored . by finishing the first one .
