Online Cricket Games Owned
Well we can pretty much say AC09 is a failure with its pathetic AI. It promised so much, and has so much promise. This has been the story with every game ever made really. Yet there is one game who's engine has been sturdy from day dot. A game that never produces stupidly ridiculous results frequently. And that is International Cricket Captain. Like Steve Waugh - not flashy, graceful or spectacular - but does the job well. ICC has my vote. Whats everyone else's thoughts?

until the game is created by someone who has played cricket first hand and knows ins and out .. there wont be a game for cricket.

take a look at football / nba / baseball .. they are near perfect or atleast doesn't suck as much as all cricket games so far.
Just by reading and getting advice from experts wont help in making a good game. there needs to be a first hand experience..

lol Stick Cricket probably gets it from me

At least it doesnt try and fail, it does its job. It's makers didnt lie to people saying it was the holy grail of cricket. It's fun, stupid, and boring after a while, just like every other cricket game. It probably has more players than any other cricket game too.

Batting - BLC99

Bowling - NONE

Fielding - AC09 (should have automatic fielding option though)

AI - huh ? whats that ?

Physics - BLC99

Graphics - EA C07

Animations - EA C07

Presentation / GUI - AC09

Stats - BLC99 / C07

ICC09 has a pretty realistic match engine.
As for cricket games you play they are always going to struggle because as you master them you begin to hit 6's off every ball and when bowling just pick up wicket after wicket. Also AI are normally really bad.

International Cricket Captain (any series), beats all competitors in gameplay and longetivity - the two major factors in a cricket game for me.

I'd like the "real" games, i.e C07, AC09 to be great but truth is they aren't...

:) , yep i also play ICC more than any Cricket game.

But to be honest AC 2009 isn't that bad in My option. To me IT over take all other Cricket games i have played. plus is Times better than Code master last Cricket Game, 2007.
as i say many many time. People in the game world, doesnt need to make Cricket yet, yet they still make it, we may like it or not. i personally like all the cricket games, at least i am getting to play Cricket. plus again, i play cricket like RL in all the games, From cricket 97- Ac 2009. I can hit many balls for six in all Cricket game, yet i choose not to. cricket games also depends on the person behind the controls.
and again as naveen_reloaded said, unless there is a person who knows about the game and makes it, Cricket game Can never ever, come out 100%.

Because if you look at it.
EA sport doesn't need to make a Cricket game, since thier Fifa, and other sports games are bigger Money spinners than Cricket.
also Codemaster also develop other Game beside cricket, which are more important to the company than a Cricket game.

To be honest, its ok to have your views on the game, but sometime these topic Goes over board and Fill the Whole Forum page, with these useless talk, on The game sucks, big disappointment, etc.

note this is just my view.
because sometime we need to appreciate what we get. IF not we would still be sitting here thinking when will another cricket Game come.

I feel AC09, Cricket 97 and Brian Lara 99 are the best

ICC>All. ICC is realistic and fun to play.

How the hell is ICC fun to play? Setting yr bowler to bowling full offstump then pressing play over, time and time again until you get some crappy repeated animation for a wicket/close call is not really enjoyable, same with batting, bat at 2/3 aggression etc then push up the aggression, its not individual to the players at all apart from whether they are aggressive, defensive or whatever. Its not like you can watch ball by ball and evaluate how the game is going. The game bores me to tears, Cricket Coach is probably better but neither will come close to the addictiveness of the Football Manager series. After several years of ICC dont you think we should have progressed to individual instuctions for bowlers and batsmen alike at least? I think it just goes to show how repressed we are as cricket gaming fans. Not one company has evolved at all, they all stick with their same formula which up to now has just not been good enough. Instead we get games that promise so much, yet fail to deliver again and again and once again! It was almost so spot on 10 years ago with BL99 yet nobody has managed to progress from this point, although most other sports simulations have, with leaps and bounds.I could go on but it will just wind me up, oh well FM10 and ProEvo10 will be out soon....
