Omkar, khan is originally a pathan name. Pathans originate from afghanistan but some migrated over to pakistan (formerly India) (after capturing many villages there they settled there). So the name Khan is now used by non-pathans. I myself am pathan but my grandfathers come from pakistan, but their great great grandfathers come from afghanistan.
