So I did the nerd thing and made a list of players who would be the most likely to equal the Little Master's great knock. List is comprised of those who've made a Test double century AND who've made an international century off 75 or less balls (theorising that you get 150 balls in an ODI if you have half the strike, and 100 off 75 would get you 200 off 150).

Here's the list:
Sehwag (6 doubles, 5 fast 100s)
Gayle (3 doubles, 4 fast 100s)
Tendulkar (7 doubles, 1 fast 100)
De Villiers (2 doubles, 4 fast 100s)
Ponting (5 doubles, 1 fast 100)
Mo. Yousuf (4 doubles, 1 fast 100)
Pietersen (3 doubles, 1 fast 100)
McCullum (1 double, 1 fast 100 - no IPL 100s didn't count...)
Ryder (1 double, 1 fast 100)
Chanderpaul (1 double, 1 fast 100)

Yeah I was bored... Sehwag and Gayle look the most likely candidates.

Ah yes AB De Villers, he is certainly one that could do it on his day. Like Tendulkar he is hard to bowl to and near on impossible to get out when set. Would need to move up to opener though.

I would have said Dilshan if it was going to happen anytime soon but I think his form has tailed off now and the captaincy is weighing on him.

I think Duminy could do it, but we're talking in years time. He's a steady scorer, can attack with proper cricket shots, has hit ferocious scores in t20 and he has been known to open the innings.
