What is it with that gamescore crap, do Xbox gamers think anyone other than themselves give a damn how much they game or how good they are at gaming, I don't get it.

First off where did I say anything about me thinking I'm better than anyone else? Nowhere that's where.
Not every Xbox gamer is the same you know. So I like going for achievements, so what. That's my business, and If I choose to get the achievements for my gamertag then play online on the ps3 then that's my choice.
Loose the stereotypical attitude towards Xbox players and I'll entertain your replies.

And the thing is no matter how good you are offline, you will have to re-learn the game online as human opponents use different tactics. What works offline simply doesn't online. Plus more people you come across, more tactics you are aware of enhancing the longevity of the game.

So true, i remember playing topspin on the xbox back years
ago and offline i was the king.:clap
But online was so different, lets hope chief and his team has
built the ai to feel like a human team not some dumb simple minded
morons.

To chief, i understand you can not show us the game at the moment.
I just hope there is enough time before release to see if we can help
in any way we can.:spy

I didn't say you think your better than anyone else, just stating I don't get gamescore, seems more of a sado rating to me, but your right, none of my business. Don't have a problem with Xbox, I think trophies on ps3 is silly too

No matter what you do, online will always be vastly different than offline. Nobody can make the AI as smart as a human, and folks online can pick tendencies easily. Plus they know what gives them most difficulty in the game and put their opponents in the same situation. Take any game - footie, Madden, NBA2K, MLB etc. - and online games are totally different and harder than the offline gameplay on hard mode.

True, what i mean is simple things like.

1. the ai bowls to there field on harder difficulties.
2. plugs gaps more often and don't go back to the old field 3 or 4 balls later.:facepalm
3. Picks a team for the pitch.
4. Don't hit sixes when the score is 5 for 60.
Things like that would help, make the game a challenge for anyone.
don't make us cheat by helping the game like ic2010 did.:yes

So true. But one drawback that will always remain with any AI is that it will always be reactive. It will always start off the match with say 3 slips and plug the off side after a few boundaries. Every match the same would repeat.

If you play a human opponent, once someone realises your strengths/weaknesses they will play accordingly in all the matches going forward. With AI it's like a short term memory loss with AI re-learning strengths/weaknesses every game :( If only AI could be designed to store and act on that information across matches and series :yes

Well that's good then! If you wanted to know if I was a "sado" then you should have just asked. I play games once ive put my kids to bed, if that makes me sad then yes, im sad. Never have cared what anyone else thinks of me.
You need to consider that people may think some things you do are "sad" to.
Anyway. I'm leaving it there.

Don't hold your breath and that's why online gameplay rules and is essential to a game's longevity.

I want to go with PC, but my computer is pretty piss-poor. Will be purchasing for PS3!

That was a long long time ago, when i was a teenager.:yesp

Hang on a minute. So you held your breath when you was a teenager and remember it being 70 seconds? Have you clung to that cherished memory? Or do you just remember everything?!
