The Quitters / Disconnections Problem

Honestly, like thandamilk mentioned if there is a patch to fix the online issue then they should not just limit it to that fix but should also address other major bugs reported.....

Since they did attempt to do that with AC 2009, I hope they decide to do that for IC 2010 as well.....and hopefully this time the patch actually gets released.

I have not my copy from UK as yet. I was going to order another one but maybe I should hold back till they clean up the mess. What do you think guys?

TBF, they were collaborating with us and had gotten to BETA 2 of public release (which was probably actually beta10 from inhouse point of view).

It was beta 7 yeah. PC members had tested all the first 5 closed betas and worked with Rob and Heath to suggest changes.
Had TMG not gone bust there would then have been an RC then a patch.

It was a decent patch too. Once it got scraped, so did any interest i had in AC09.

On-line problems are a massive issue, there's no way you can get the data of thousands of users that you can from a few dozen in testing.

I trust Codies and the Trickstar guys enough to give them the time to fix this, I don't envisage an EA "Quick, lift up the carpet, I think we can fit it there." response. Their efforts last year were more than commendable and it's something we should all value highly, they understand the benefit of us to them as much as we benefit from them.

Insomniac - Your response from Codies is simply a standardised response to any connection complaint they receive. Do you really expect a company which provides technical support to several titles to give individual responses? Ease up with the verbal tirade, it's got nowt to do with trying to violate your privacy, just trying to stream-line the process of responding to e-mails, nor do they know that the problem is with the game. I highly doubt the early communication we've given Codies/Trickstar about the problem has filtered down to their technical support team.

This is the joke of the year! Did they fix AC2009?

Game

Thought i would try a game online after having a weeks break from the game.
Played smokielfc in a 5 over match.i made 77,he was 10 for 6 when the connection to the player was lost:mad:,no boundary bug as he couldnt hit one.:D
Nothing ever changes.:facepalm

Any fix as yet? I am trying to decide whether to order another copy from UK or just stick with AC2009.

Dont waste your money, as i dont want codies to make profit on this piece of cr@p. They cant even admit they gave us a faulty product. So dont hold your breath on the fact they will fix this online issue.

Thanks alioz. I just hold then and see what happens. It will be silly to release the game in Australia if they can not fix the online bug.

Are you still playing Ashes Cricket 2009 online on Xbox 360?

Have they been able to sell in UK as well as the Ahses 2009?

It's possible that the game will be fixed in time for the Australian release.

Those who purchased the game earlier are being used as beta testers.
