Fortunately we have moved past the Sachin-dependence era. Now there are blokes like Sehwag, Dravid and Laxman who can share the scoring in Sachin's absence. That is why Sachin's lack of prolific century-making has not been as much as a glaring problem. The problem is that now we are moving towards a Sehwag-dependence era.

I think Sachin was in pretty good form in the most recent test series he featured in against Pak with scores of 94,DNB at Multan
53,53 at Kolkata
41,16 at Bangalore
I don`t think that is poor form by any strech of imagination . AS Sohum,Champ and others have said , the degree of dependance which the windies have on lara at the moment is very high and India have Rahul,Sehwag and VVS who not only play a supporting roles but help win matches on their own ! As long as India remain in the top 3 in tests , I would be happy if Sachin scores 50s and India winning rather that a situation like Lara scoring 100s and thw windies losing consistently !
