Australia's own Shane Warne has accepted a 2 year deal with England to be there new coach. Warne admitted that he would be interested going back to England and coach, but the move has been made just 2 weeks after the closing of the Ashes series. Warne has taken over the job, and looks to build up this side, for the next ashes series in the 2009/2010 season.

Monty Panesar was pleased to hear the news, now i know what it is like to be around the great man, and hopefully he can teach me more about spin bowling.

Shane Warne 1st Press Conference

Shane Warne has faced his 1st press conference after announcing that he would be coaching the England side for the next 2-3 years.
Warne says that he hopes the Australian people wont judge him now, after just retiering from the game just 3 weeks back, and now he is back in the middle of things. Warne says that he was gunna take a few months of with his family, take a holiday, watch his kids grow up a bit before he even considered moving back to Hampshire to where he was gunna try and coach, but the offer came from England straight away. I have talked to it with my family and they are more then happy with my decision, they will support me whatever i end up doing.

Shane Warne and Michael Vaughan speak at the Press Conference

Editor: Now Shane how did you come to making this decision?

Well, the England team confronted me about the decision, about 6 days after the Ashes Series, they said, that they wanted me to come back to England and coach them until the Ashes series in 09/10 seasons.

Editor: And when was it when you finally made the decision to go back and coach?

Well, it was probably only about a week ago, i talked it through with my family, and they are happy for me to go back and coach, i have an arrangment with Jetstar, they will fly me and my family out for a low cost whenever we need it, just so we can be together, and yeah i had to think about it for a while, my main plan after retiering was to spend time with my family, probably a couple of months before i sat down and thought about what was the next phase of my life.

Editor: Now Michael, what is it like to have someone like Shane Warne coaching a group of men like yaselves?

Its an hounour, some great player of the game, a legend of the game like Warne to coach us, teach us all he knows about the game, it is just a previllege working under this man, we go on our 1st training session together tomorrow, so we'll see how it goes.

Editor: What plans do you have for this side Shane? any tatics?

72864257.jpg
No not really, this side is full of talent, i just dont think anyone has seen it yet, they have a young side aswell, players like Pietersen and Cook, they are stars in the making, as we saw Cook hit 140+ in one of the Innings in the Ashes, so we know what he is capable of. I think we will see more of Pietersen in the next few months, when the World Championships are on. But not really any tatics for the side, i have had some coaching roles at Hampshire so Pietersen would know most of my moves anyway, but nah i will try alot of new things with this team.

Editor: Well thankyou both for your time and good luck for the future.

Michael Vaughan to Captain England in 07

Michael Vaughan has edged out Andrew Flintoff and Kevin Pietersen for the England captaincy for the up-coming 07 season. Vaughan was voted by the England players and Planetcricket community to captain the side.
Vaughan who captained the squad to the Ashes win in 05, was the main reason why he has been offered the role again.

Andrew Flintoff will be vice captain of the sqaud, after being captain for the 06 Ashes series where he saw his team loose 5-0.
