Something like hat i guess, if Tait wasnt out than i would have taken him.
Kallis, Chanderpual, Yuvraj, Yousuf, Fernando(if he want injured i would have had him in the team), Nel and a few others just miss out.

12th man: James Anderson. Great bowler if an injury occurs and one of the best outfielders in the world, certainly England's best.

You're joking right? Did you somehow not see what McCullum and Ryder did to him.

Gibbs, Symonds, Pietersen and Yuvraj aren't sloggers.

Nor is McCullum. He plays cricket shots. I think he just meant big hitters though.

Steyn in ODIs? Stats don't tell the whole story, but 15 wickets at 35.33 with an economy rate of 5.52 paints a picture of someone who is not too good with the white ball. Bizarrely though, he has shown himself a very good T20 bowler.

I hope you're "World" team is ecological.

McCullum is a fantastic 'keeper as well. Sanga i'd think is better, though.

Hard call,i think mcCullom is the bigger hitting type of batsmen who is prolly more suited to the ODI game than sangakarra is.

keeping wise sangakarra is by far the better stumper....but hitting wise,i would take McCullom.

They are the best ODI bowlers at this present time taking into account a combination. I rate Vaas higher than Sharma but I feel that you should have two bowlers at 140kph or more opening the bowling.

I've altered my XI slightly.

He got all the points thrawting Bangladesh, Manee.

He has been around the 750 mark for a while now. All teams play Bangladesh and it is not like he scored all his points doing that.

I forget that one series makes or breaks a bowler. Also, 12th man should be primarily a good fielder, and Jimmy Anderson is one of the best outfielders in the world, so is a good pick as far as i'm concerned.

Hayden is far better.

Any idea how the rankings work? You can't just get a high ranking against by playing against Bangladesh. This is from the ICC's ranking system:

A batsman's ranking depends on:

ratings of the opposing bowling attack; the higher the combined ratings of the attack, the more value is given to the batsman?s innings (in proportion)

All ODI matches are considered equal, except for ICC Cricket World Cup matches, where good performances gain extra credit.

Big scores or wicket hauls against very weak nations get much less credit than the same performances against the main ODI countries.

Smith averaged 50 at the world cup, and 44 in the last two years, which include series' against India(4th) , Pak(5th) and NewZealand(3rd).
