Online Cricket Games Owned
Please allow me to introduce myself.

I am Baron C, and I am a committee member of the TMSB Exiles cricket team. We are (we believe) the world's first and only online cricket club based in the UK, and we are seeking anyone who fancies turning out for a match & raising some money for kids' cricket along the way.

We are a non-profit making club with no membership fees or exclusivity. No matter what age, ability, gender or nationality you may be, if you want a game of cricket, you will get one. We are affiliated to Chance to Shine, and any money we raise goes directly to them, last season we managed to raise ?2,700.

Our focus is getting as many kids playing cricket as possible, and we do this by organising fixtures at local clubs between ourselves and our hosts, and prior to the (non-serious) game, we organise kwik-cricket tournaments for local kids to take part offering coaching and prizes.

If you are interested feel free to have a browse at what we do at www.tmsbexiles.org . We are not only looking for potential members, but also potential fixtures, so if you are a member of a cricket club, and think you may be able to host us for a kids' tournament followed by a match, we'd very much like to hear from you.

Many thanks.

So if I were a polar bear from Antarctica (which is pretty rare as they only come from the Arctic and not Antarctica), and I brought along a bat and a couple of pads I might be able to don the whites?

You wouldn't need whites.

Excellent point. What would the parents of the young ones think, though, of one of their opponents, not only being able to eat their children, but also play in the nude, exposing them to all sorts of sights only seen on the discovery channel or other seedy channels late at night?

We are planning to play the House of Commons XI this season, so this is nothing.

Excellent site, Excellent concept.

No worries. We have members in India and the sub-continent who post on our site, and it is our intention (one day) to get a tour going overseas.

All we ask is you spread the word.

Thats cool. I'd love to sign up.

All you need to do is register on our website, a similar process to here. You do not need to post anything, nor do you need to send us anything, although I would suggest posting a little intro into our "new members" forum, and then just keep scanning the forum every now and again to see what we're up to.

You can sign up to receive our virtual newsletter which will be e-mailed to you, keeping you informed of what we are doing and when.

Also, just for your information. Our team is of mixed genders and abilities. Our main focus is just to get people enjoying the game, not hard competitve matches.

If you turn up, and you want a game, you will get one.

What happens if like 15 people turn up?

Subsitutes I imagine? Like in warm-up games. XI will bat, other XI will field. Maybe all fifteen will bat. Just to have fun I guess.

And give me a few days, and I'll start posting. That Cricket Quest thing looks like an awesome thread, had me in stitches!

People tend to post their availability on our forum and make themselves available for games that are convenient for them to get to. We have not had the problem of oversubscription to matches as yet, but there are a few members who go to most games, but if you turn up and are keen to play, you will get a game. Some of our members/players are coaches and our main goal is with the kwik-cricket tournaments.

If we get to the day when we have 15 players turning up to a match all wanting to play, we will be a very happy club. Also, as we do not have our own ground and rely on cricket cluns hosting us, there is nothing stopping us arranging 2 matches on the same day.
