World's most Over-rated and Under-rated player!

I have only three players who are over-rated...
1) Shoaib Akhtar
2) That guy who broke the 100mph mark
3) Someone called the Rawalpindi Express

Under-rated..
1) Bangladesh. SriLanka was a minnow until they started bashing everyone and now they are a force to be reckoned with. Bangladesh has enough passion in the public that eventually they will come up with a few surprizes. Maybe not in the next few months, but eventually.
2) China. If they really take to cricket, God help us all.
I might play for China someday..... :D
I agree with Bangladesh, with Mortza and Ashraful and Abdur Razzak and Islam Rana and Haque jnr. and they have a very talented team, and experience in the form of Rafique and Bashar and Baisya and Masud and Mashud......

i don't approve of baisya but every other bangladeshi there i do, bangladesh have really stepped up over the last year

Perhaps. I've read in the recent past that China did hire some Indian cricket experts to help develop the game in their country. I do think, though, that cultural tradition has a major part to play in how successful a country is at cricket--China will need to make sure they instill cricket at the grass roots level. This is the problem the ICC has in handling new countries--they are allowing them to play with teams made up of expats.

If China takes steps to develop cricket in their country for, say, 10-15 years and then steps up to international competition, I think they will soon evolve into strong contenders. Definitely better than an Indian-filled Hong Kong team and a Pakistani-filled UAE team. The challenge for China, or any other country for that matter, will be to create an interest in cricket in their country. That is the benefit cricket-playing nations have--cricket is already popular. That's why India is not able to perform well on most other international sports levels.

India have a massive population like China, as well as a strong inclination toward cricket, yet they do not rule the cricket world.
I can only assume you mean China are more aggressive in their goals than India.

That is why.......also China has a lot of talent in everything, like U.A.E.(because people from all nations live here)

China have such a huge population they are bound to have some sort of talent, but they win at all the sports no-one cares about! However i dont think they will be a competing force in International Cricket in the next 20 years or so, you can't underrate them untill you've seen them play!

yes, btw, sorry if this has been asked but is china an ICC acciate (sorry bout spelling!) member?

I assume you're trying to say associate. If you are, then the answer is no. They are however, an affiliate member of the ICC (the level of membership below associate)

I see a lot of people make comments about how Vaas is under-rated, but he's really not. The guy can only bowl well consistently in South Asia, outside of that he's not worth much. Same goes for Shoaib Malik. Real underrated players are Sangakarra, Rana Naved (though we'll find out the truth about him against India), Yoyo (not rated as highly as he should be), Gillespie.

I dont think its a mistake that Youhana (Yoyo) is not rated that highly. He has not shown that much maturity although lately it seems to be changing. He has always been susceptible to getting out to a very badly planned rash shot when the team needs him to stay. Inspite of that he has a great average and that just underlines his massive potential, but he has to earn the rating and convert that potential to results. Like I said there were signs recently that he may be getting more serious about that so I hope that is the case. He was now replaced by Younis as vice-captain so I hope he doesnt take that the wrong way. Maybe they should have Younis as captain, Youhana v/c and Inzi as just the batting rock.
