i also think mohammad rafique of bangladesh is very under-rated! u should c his stats!

under-rated: Langer and Martyn. Both solid as a rock for Australia these days. We can generally rely on these guys to knuckle down and pull us out of a hole. They are starting to recieve the accolades they deserve now too. They we're amongst the top run scorers of 2004, a great achievement!
and credit has to go to lee, he's definately improving all the time. His odi stats are quite good for a bowler of his type and he'll feature heavily in the test squad as a new generation of Aussie cricketers emerge over the next few years. His stats are bound to improve as the responsibility is heaped on.

also Stuart MacGill is right up there. He's an awesome bowler who would probably be amongst the first picked if he played for any other country!
overrated: ganguly. i can't say i've seen him do anything very special, he's just the captain of a team of good players

btw hayden and langer, i think hayden is over-rated and langer is under-rated.
Underrated: Yuvraj, kaif, Pollock, sometimes thorpe, kasper.

Ponting over-rated? you gotta be kidding right? Average of 41+ in ODI's which is amongst the worlds best, and average of 55+ in Test's matches which would have to put him in the top five batsmen in the world. I think he lives up to expectations. Agarkar's not much chop, don't know how you think he's under-rated. Sangakkara is a very fine batsman, he's not under-rated in my view, because i rate him very high. Same as Pollock, great all-rounder, one of the better bowling all-rounders in the world. Again, Lara, same argument as Ponting. I agree with Sami though, I'd rather Rana than him.

no, he was underrated quite a bit when england went to sri lanka a year ago, but sort of established himself in asia cup

I have only three players who are over-rated...
1) Shoaib Akhtar
2) That guy who broke the 100mph mark
3) Someone called the Rawalpindi Express
Under-rated..
1) Bangladesh. SriLanka was a minnow until they started bashing everyone and now they are a force to be reckoned with. Bangladesh has enough passion in the public that eventually they will come up with a few surprizes. Maybe not in the next few months, but eventually.
2) China. If they really take to cricket, God help us all.

Ntini overated!???Have you been smoking something.He always seems to be able to take a wicket just when you need him.He puts in a great effort and no wonder he is rated in the top 10.
