Yes i have watched the premiership and the brazilian team. Still, its the same old stuff.....its to slowthemuel1 said:Ever watched the Premiership or the Brazillian football team? Guess not......
Football is exiting, it may be simple but it is loved by a lot of people in the world.
Never watched AFL, from what I hear from you Aussies it sound's good, I will have to look into it.......
Soccer is only loved around the world because it dates back to probaly when date was invented plus is very simplistic.
Plus, growing up with AFL and being used to the fast paced style it probaly makes all sports look boring
The thing i HATE about soccer is all the rich teams win!! Whats the frickan point in that?? and once that team wins EVERY1 gets on thier bandwagon..so stupid. Here in Oz for AFL, all clubs have a certain 'salary cap' that they are only allowed to spend a certain amount of money on players. This makes players stay at clubs due to 'loyalty' rather than money. Plus it keeps the competition even and exciting.
The only time i ever got excited in a soccer match was in the last World Cup where Australia beat Uruaguay....Also when we beat you poms!!!! lol :happy
Try watching a bit of AFL, watch a few games so you get to know the rules, it may take a while because the rules will seem really weird at first....but once you get into it, theres no turning back!!
(Oh and congrats to the Japanese, they won the international cup....first step of making AFL international :upray )
