WWA has officially parted ways with former WWA Cruiserweight Tag Team Champions Genocide (Curt Hawkins & Zach Ryder) they were on the top of the chopping block for weeks now with a poor backstage attitude and were finally given their releases today.

WWA has promised massive roster changes, the spring cleaning has started.

The attendance was 20,689 people.
WWA made $4575000 from pay-per-view revenue.
WWA made $1241340 from ticket sales.

20,689 becomes the best turn out for a WWA PPV in the history of WWA, 16k turned out to see WWA Blaze of Glory which was WWA's first ever PPV. WWA had gone up against TNA's PPV 'Slammiversary' which did not do as well as the WWA PPV.

TNA got a 0.78 PPV buy rate for 'Slammiversary'!
The event was attended by 8,540 people.

Terry Funk is off to Mexico, Terry Funk agreed to work with an open deal with CMLL, Abismo Negro has decided to work for IWS rather than IWC. Chris Chetti has agreed to an open contract with CW, Yuki Ishikawa has agreed to an open contract with IWC. Zumbido has agreed to an open contract with AAW, Latin Lover has decided to work for UWA-HW rather than SHI. Darren Burridge has agreed to an open contract with UWA-HW.

LOS ANGELES, Cali., June 16, 2008 World Wrestling All-Stars wishes to inform WWA stars and fans that WWA owner Ted Turner, and WWA head booker Brady Thomas will be discussing the major changes in the name of the company at a meeting in Los Angeles this Sunday. WWA has been considering using the name Revolutionary Championship Wrestling as the name of the company, Scott Sandars, Dave Harding, and the rest of the current champions will still hold their titles, but the designs, and names will be changed.

WWA's World Heavyweight Championship will be the RCW World Heavyweight Champion, Harding's United States Championship will be rebranded as the RCW United States Championship. A second major title will be added to the future RCW stable of titles.

RCW will introduce the RCW Revolutionary Championship at the next WWA PPV, the match will be fought out of the four men left in a future tournament that will be starting on the programming.

WWA also wishes to announce that programming changes are going to be starting as soon as Saturday, with WWA's LiveWire program renamed Anarchy, Thunder will be going under a change as well.

WWA has also declared changes to the Genocide PPV, the PPV has now been renamed Ground Zero, these are seen as changes that WWA has needed to make to make the company more itself and to not have it's history merged in with the other WWA.

Ted Turner will also be looking at changing more around the company, Ted Turner has sent Roderick Massey to watch over the future broadcasts of WWA Television, he will be left to examine the promotion he will compile a report and then send them back to the Turner Entertainment HQ and WWA will undergo the needed changes that are needed to make the show more successful.

WWE issues Press Release on potential lawsuit against Evolution Wrestling

The following statement was issued by WWE on Monday morning:

Evolution Championship Wrestling lawsuit

STAMFORD, Conn., June 16, 2008 World Wrestling Entertainment has informed World Wrestling All-Stars performer, and Evolution Wrestling owner Dave Harding that he must cease using the initials "ECW" to brand his television shows for Evolution Wrestling.

"ECW" is a brand of World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc, and as such we have registered the trademark for use within the WWE, the WWE has asked that Dave Harding remains the ECW logos from his shows, and closes down EvolutionChampionshipWrestling.com as well. If Harding does not comply with the orders sent to him, we shall file a lawsuit against the performer.

Evolution Championship Wrestling is being used by Harding as a source to use his trainees, and to use other Indi talent that may appear with the company, while WWE has no problems with Evolution Wrestling School, we do however have a problem with ECW being used by Harding and his development promotion.

Harding has sixty (60) days to completely change Evolution Championship Wrestling, and it's website or the WWE will issue him a lawsuit.

Neither Dave Harding or Blake Blackheart will be at Revolution this week, or any other programming after the PPV match at the PPV, both men have been battling bruising and soreness after the event, and Harding has suffered a concussion, WWA doctors will not risk the stars of the company. Dragon Kid was flown into the States yesterday and had only just left the airport before the PPV had started, as the Battle Royal was wrapping up Dragon Kid arrived at the arena and was given the instructions, WWA are looking to introduce a stable with Dragon Kid, and Jushin Liger WWA has already added the stable to the website known as Team No Respect, it has not been mentioned who will be added to the stable.

As seen last night at the PPV Revolution has started to get itself together with Matthews and A Wray being the main focal point at the present moment, also throwing in Rob Van Dam who is also in there. WWA is remaining tight lipped about the future of the stable but it is expected that WWA are going to add another wrestler to the stable at a later date.

Speaking of Matthews, WWA's official website has confirmed that Matthews will battle Scott Sandars for the World Title on Revolution, Scott Sandars requested the match and it has been granted.

WWA has also done away with Thunder as of this week, WWA has renamed their show Alchemy, which could see a few cage matches as WWA has billed the show as "Full Metal Mayhem" though this could just be a promotional tool for the show it is unclear as to how long the change will last, WWA has released a few other names for shows and will be renaming them.

LiveWire has already been renamed Anarchy, it was announced prior to the PPv that it was being changed and will be repackaged as well though the intro will remain as it was the day may change down the road, WWA has not yet confirmed the details of any other changes as yet.


WWA will be renaming a few PPVs as well.

Evolution Championship Wrestling has made some massive changes, Evolution Championship Wrestling will be known as Global Wrestling Coalition, Harding has released a new logo for the company, the logo will appear as follows..

GWC will keep the name Evolution TV for the television shows, as they were not the point of a WWE lawsuit threat that was issued to Harding over the weekend. Harding will spend the week at GWC organising the shows and fixing all the issues that has come under fire from the WWE.

Changes to the WWA event, under the advisement of the WWA Doctors The Grim Reaper will not be wrestling WWA Monday Night Revolution. The Grim Reaper took an unprotected shot to the head and was still severely concussed the next day before the matches were announced. A second and third opinions has seen The Grim Reaper pulled from active duty at the PPV.

Further changes will be seen on WWA Revoluiton upon completion.

Upon being drafted, contracts will be drawn up, WWA stars can enter the draft, you have to put your wrestlers name down, and he will be given a chance to be drafted, please note you can still stay in WWA, or CZW if you are on these rosters.

Controversial WWA storylines, New Jack signed to WWA? More!

WWA's idea to bring in a gangland stryle storyline has come under fire, the controversial idea had already been tried with an all Meican stabled called Sure?os which in spanish means "Southerners" the name was inspired from a Mexican-American gang which is located in Southern California. WWA brought the gang in with Chavo Guerrero as the leader of the stable, WWA contracred AAA wrestlers to be apart of the stable, they were soon all released minus Chavo Guerrero who still remains in WWA.

The idea was raised before the Blaze of Glory PPV, from there WWA removed the idea from their radar and from there the gang was soon forgotten about, and after the WWA Cruiserweight Tag Team Tournament the gang of Mexican Stars were all given their releases. Cuervo was sent back to development and has been there ever since the failed storyline which was never really highly used i the first place.

WWA has plans to hire African-American stars and re-start a new stable for a gang, which is apart the new sweeping changes that are promised to WWA fans, some critics are not pleased with the proposed idea, but the problem arises around WWA using real gang names for the stables.

New Jack is telling whoever will listen that WWA has signed him to be the leader of a new stable gang in WWA, while WWA denies they have made such a signing New Jack seems to be telling everyone that he has been offered a contract. WWA had approached Elix Skipper, Bobby Lashley, Bobb Sapp, to be apart of the stable but all 3 had turned down the offers to be apart of the stable. WWA has not yet said who they have signed but they have signed a new batch of stars for the stable.

The new promotion trading as cZw has encountered a major problem early, John Zandig has demanded a change before they have their first show, and has ordered that if they do not he will sue. While WWA still own the name after buying CZW, and then allowing Zandig to reopen his promotion Zandig wants the company to trade as something else. WWA has also bought the name XPW, from Rob Black, so that may become it's new name.


WWA for the first time in the history of wrestling will hold a draft between WWA and the new promotion, contracted stars to WWA and CZW(soon to be XPW) will be entered into a random draft, and those picked will be sent to a new company. WWA feels this is the best way to keep WWA interesting and to keep fans interested in the battles of the wrestling companies. This company however will not be going against WWA, and will not look to drain the fans from WWA, but will have WWA and XPW trying to control the markets.

WWA denies New Jack signing, former star heads to Japan, former Tag Team heads to Evolution Wrestling, and more.

WWA officials have said that no contract has been offered to New Jack, the former ECW and XPW star had been telling friends he was contracted to appear at WWA Alchemy apart of the new WWA stable, that is based around a real life gang. WWA had offered contracts to Bob Sapp, and Bobby Lashley, neither were interested in joining the stable. New Jack is currently on tour with AJPW, and WWA appears to not be interested in the former ECW and XPW star.

Recently released star Ili Reland has decided to head to Japan to continue his work, Reland will be reporting to New Japan Pro Wrestling and will be working at their July 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shows and has been added to the Pro Wrestling Noah tour of Japan in August. While these dates are subject to change, they have put aside worker names in case the former WWA star is signed to another wrestling company in the mean time.

Speaking of Japan, and WWA, current WWA United States Champion will be heading to wrestle with Zero One on Monday 25th of August at the Tokeyo Dome he will be working a match against Shinjiro Otani, and then the next night he will be working agaisnt Sonjay Dutrt who is also working a tour of Zero One ending Feb 1st 2009. Dragon Kid is also appearing in Japan for 2 nights only in late August appearing for Michinoku Pro. He will work against Great Sasuke on July 30th, and Dick Togo on July 31st.

Former WWA Tag team Genocide will be working Dave Harding's Evolution Wrestling this weekend against WWA development Tag Team The James Boys (Kassidy and Curtis James) this will be Curt Hawkins and Zach Ryders first match since being released by WWA. The former WWA Cruiserweight Tag Team Champions have been waved of the traditional 90 No Compete Clause that are in some contracts, it is not believed that WWA enforces this as apart of their signings, this was evident when Ili Reland signed a deal to work in Japan, and Ryan Willis recently signed to appear with TNA.

Former WWA star Alex Culum has reported to GWC as well to work on some skills, WWA is wanting to get the feel of where he is at and will reassess the decision to release him from his contract. WWA has considered reissuing him a development contract and Culum will report to the WWA development fed as soon as possible. But this is going to depend on how Culum gets through his match at GWC this Friday Night. Another former WWA star will also be working GWC this week, Lex Luger has found his way to GWC, WWA development talent Cuervo will also be working GWC as well.

WWA has made some new signings to their Development territory, Candice LeRae, Hellfyre, Jason Riggs, Jerrelle Clark, Joey Knight, Joshue masters, Johnny Riggs, and Robin Knightwing have been signed to WWA development contracts. They join Taylor Matheny, Tank Toland, and Siren as signings to the new and some would say improvement development camp.

Johnny Kashmere and Trent Acid have reunited in the WWA Development came as well, WWA officials have not yet decided on when Justin Credible will be given his chance in WWA, he has yet to be promoted back to the main roster after WWA signed him 12 weeks ago. WWA has also considered more releases coming soon to add to the roster curs they have promised.

On the note of roster cuts, WWA has supposedly placed Cherry Pie, Ashleigh Vayda, and Idol Stevens on notice the rumours are saying that these wrestlers have yet to impress in their workings with WWA's Development promotion EWR. Lance Storm has also supposedly lashed out as Danny and Jason Storm, the tag team known as Storm Warning have been told to lift their act or be released.

Storm Warning are former ROH, and CZW World Tag Team Champions, they were signed to WWA with Richter Jacobs, Kaine Devine, and Jordan Jackson, Jacobs, Devine and Jackson were promoted to the main roster while the other former ROH and IWAMS stars remained where they are. WWA also signed Ryan and Cason Valdez along with this group, and as seen lately the Maine Street Posse have become WWA Cruiserweight Tag Team Champions whereas Jason and Danny Storm remain in development.
