I have just bought International Cricket Captain 2009, and am planning to use Yorkshire. This is a team I have though up for the 4 day game.

Lyth
Sayers
Rudolph
McGrath
Gale
Bairstow (w)
Wainwright
Rashid
Bresnan
Shahzad
Hoggard

Any tips, suggestions etc on who to sign/play etc..

Why didn't you get 2010 my old chipmunk? Just curious. The updated stats and better gameplay etcetera makes it much more playable.

Maybe because when the new version comes out, I assume last years one will take a massive drop in price.
TBH I would of just got 2010 though.

Well International Cricket 2010 is coming out on 360 so didn't want to pay out too much cash..

Fair enough: I spend much too much money on cricket games: I buy all of them, good or bad. Most of them bad. Have to say though that this new version of ICC is very well done indeed and enjoyable to play.

I'm also playing ICC09 as Yorkshire (among others...). Is that your batting order? I hope not because Lyth as a spin specialist is likely not to do well at opener. My best openers are Rudolph and Gale - although Gale's been injured for a while in mine. Who's Bairstow - I don't have him? I would recommend White rather than Wainwright and just the four bowlers. I would also recommend ul-Hasan - or even Kruis - over Shahzad.

But then my selections tend to be a bit controversial, and meet with mixed results. I have 1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss in first-class so far.

With regard to signings, we seem to be a bit light-on in the spinners department. Rafiq doesn't look that impressive, and it's not unlikely that Rashid and/or Wainwright will be called up for England - although probably (hopefully) not this season - they seem to be going with Panesar and Swann.
